International Boost Self-Esteem Month is a gentle reminder that you are worthy—exactly as you are 💛 Self-esteem isn’t about being perfect; it’s about learning to treat yourself with the same kindness and understanding you offer others. At our practice, we support individuals in building self-compassion, confidence, and a stronger sense of self, one small step at a time.
Join us in empowering people to show up as their authentic, true selves—embracing who they are, stepping into their power, and discovering the inner strength that’s been there all along.

Our Calm & Focus for Teens group gives teens a chance to slow down, move their bodies, and learn simple tools to manage stress in a supportive group setting. This isn’t about performance or “doing it right”—it’s about helping teens feel more grounded and confident.

Recreation Renews The Mind
Pick one recreational activity this week: a loop at a local park/trail, a sunrise/sunset drive, a hot drink + journaling in your car, or a “no headphones” walk to let your mind decompress. Bonus if you invite a friend—connection boosts the benefits.

Eating concerns aren’t always obvious.

Possible signs include: rigid food rules, intense guilt after eating, secretive eating, frequent body checking, over-exercising to “compensate,” mood changes, social withdrawal, and anxiety around meals. Early support matters—and screening tools can be a helpful first step.

This Friday, we honor the activists whose courage reshaped our world.
Malcolm X, Muhammad Ali, and Frederick Douglass challenged injustice with unapologetic conviction.
Leontyne Price, Rebecca Lee Crumpler, and Marian Wright Edelman expanded what was possible in art, medicine, and law.

Their brilliance didn’t just change history — it opened doors for healing, dignity, and liberation that we continue to walk through today.
May their achievements remind us that advocacy is a form of care, and every act of courage moves our communities forward.

“Honor their legacy by investing in your own well‑being — join us and begin your healing.”

Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month is a reminder that everyone deserves relationships built on respect, safety, and trust đź’ś
We know that navigating relationships as a teen can be confusing, and it’s not always easy to recognize when something doesn’t feel right. If a young person is feeling scared, controlled, or unheard, support is available—and help is not a sign of weakness. We’re committed to creating a safe space where teens can talk openly, learn healthy boundaries, and know they are never alone.

February is Black History Month. Today we’re honoring Claudette Colvin—an unmarried, pregnant 15-year-old who refused to give up her seat in Montgomery on March 2, 1955, and later helped challenge bus segregation through Browder v. Gayle.

Sometimes we can’t be the face of a historical movement. That doesn’t make our courage—or our contribution—any less valuable.

Have you ever felt unseen while doing something brave or right?

If this topic brings up stress, grief, or exhaustion, you don’t have to carry it alone—support is available.

Friendships don’t come naturally for every teen—and that’s okay.

If your teen feels unsure socially, struggles to make or keep friends, or wants connection but doesn’t know how to get there, our PEERS® Social Skills Group (Ages 13–16) may be a great fit.

This neurodiversity-affirming, evidence-based program helps teens build confidence, understand social cues, and develop real, lasting friendships in a supportive, therapist-led setting.

✨ Parents are supported too. While teens meet in their group, parents participate in a separate therapist-led support group at the same time.

📅 Fridays | 3:30–5:00 PM

Their legacies remind us that Black history is not only struggle it's imagination, artistry, and joy.
