Frugal Nutrition Hack.
Skip the $5 Happy Meal — I make this PB&J on wheat bread with chia seeds for about 75¢ total.

The trick? I mix chia seeds into the jelly at least the day before, so when it’s sandwich time they’re soft, blended in, and the kids don’t even notice. Neither will you. Lol

What you get in that one sandwich:
✔️ Same calories as fast food
✔️ Twice the fiber to keep kids full
✔️ Healthy fats + omega-3s from chia
✔️ A balanced meal that costs less than a dollar

Cheap, quick, and way better fuel for the day. Sometimes the simplest swap saves money and is more nutritious.

P.S. I also add dehydrated greens to the mix and absolutely nobody notices. Just sprinkled on put the two halves of the sandwich together and p**f added nutrition.

Three ingredients. Ten minutes. That’s it. These cookies are proof that eating well doesn’t have to be complicated.

Recipe (makes about 12 cookies):
• 2 ½ ripe bananas (mashed)
• 2 cups oats (dry)
• ½ cup chocolate chips

Mash the bananas, stir in oats and chocolate chips, shape into cookies, and bake at 350°F for 10–12 minutes (or air fry at 350°F for 6–8 minutes).

That’s all it takes—warm, gooey, wholesome cookies you can feel good about.

Want to make them your own? Try:
• A spoonful of peanut butter for extra protein
• A sprinkle of cinnamon or pumpkin spice for cozy vibes
• A handful of raisins, cranberries, or chopped nuts for texture
• A drizzle of maple syrup if you like them sweeter

But don’t let its looks fool you — one bite and you’ll forget how it looks because the flavor is smoky, zesty, and straight-up addictive. It’s proof that sometimes the ugliest foods taste the best.”

Smoky Veggie Chickpea Spread

Ingredients

1 can chickpeas (drained and rinsed)

1 cup steamed broccoli florets

½ cup steamed cauliflower florets

1 handful fresh spinach

½ small onion, chopped

2 garlic cloves

2 tbsp tahini

2 tbsp mayo (vegan or regular)

1 tsp smoked paprika

½ tsp turmeric

½ tsp ginger powder

Pinch Celtic salt (to taste)

1–2 grinds smoked pepper (or regular black pepper if not available)

1–2 tbsp water or olive oil (to help blend)

Instructions

1. Add all ingredients to a blender or food processor.

2. Blend until smooth, scraping down sides as needed. Add a splash of water or oil if it’s too thick.

3. Taste and adjust seasonings (more salt, paprika, or ginger depending on your liking).

4. Spread on toast, use as a veggie dip, or dollop on bowls.

Mornings don’t have to be rushed when you prep the night before. This quick mix is packed with fiber, plant protein, and natural energy — perfect for fueling your day the MYM way!

Basic Recipe:

½ cup rolled oats

1 tsp cocoa powder

1 tsp chia seeds

1 tsp ground flaxseed

Pinch of Celtic salt

1 tsp nutritional yeast (for a B-vitamin boost)

1–2 tsp freeze-dried fruit chunks or powder

½–1 cup water (added at night)

Not every meal is a masterpiece… and that’s okay.

Today’s experiment: crispy tahini chickpeas.
Reality: half were still soft… the other half turned to lava rocks in a few minutes flat 🤷‍♂️

This isn’t just pasta.

It’s lentils, elbow noodles, and a bold, homemade sauce made from roasted beets, carrots, red bell peppers, and jalapeño for just the right kick. No tomatoes, no meat — just real, nourishing flavor that hugs every bite.

Topped with shredded vegan cheese and served warm, this was one of those meals where I stopped halfway through just to appreciate how far I’ve come in the kitchen.
