Frugal Nutrition Hack.
Skip the $5 Happy Meal — I make this PB&J on wheat bread with chia seeds for about 75¢ total.
The trick? I mix chia seeds into the jelly at least the day before, so when it’s sandwich time they’re soft, blended in, and the kids don’t even notice. Neither will you. Lol
What you get in that one sandwich:
✔️ Same calories as fast food
✔️ Twice the fiber to keep kids full
✔️ Healthy fats + omega-3s from chia
✔️ A balanced meal that costs less than a dollar
Cheap, quick, and way better fuel for the day. Sometimes the simplest swap saves money and is more nutritious.
P.S. I also add dehydrated greens to the mix and absolutely nobody notices. Just sprinkled on put the two halves of the sandwich together and p**f added nutrition.
