Let's talk definitions--what's the difference between a "slump" and "burnout"? The causes of both can be similar--stress, fatigue, uncertainty, financial strain, change--but the difference is time.

So, we definitely were in a slump and not burned out because we have returned to our usual level of joy with our work. Our factors were payor stress and uncertainty coupled with financial strain. Things have largely reregulated.

But how do you tell the difference in your life? What's a reasonable time frame to tolerate doldrums before you reassess?

We're still here having a great time providing excellent services to our clients but everything else has seemed a little more difficult since January.
