💚 We’re often so kind, patient, and understanding with others but forget to give that same kindness to ourselves.

Talk to yourself the way you would talk to a friend. Give yourself grace on hard days, celebrate the small wins, and remember that you are doing the best you can. 🌿

✨ Be patient with yourself.
✨ Rest without guilt.
✨ Forgive yourself for bad days.
✨ Speak kindly to yourself.

You deserve the same love and compassion that you give to everyone else. 💚

💚 May is Mental Health Awareness Month 💚

Just a little reminder: you don’t have to have it all together all the time. Take care of your mind the same way you take care of your body. Rest when you need to, ask for help when you need it, and give yourself grace. 🌿

✨ Positive reminders:
• I am enough.
• It’s okay to take a break.
• My mental health matters.
• I can get through hard days.
• I deserve kindness, especially from myself.

🧠 Simple ways to care for your mental health:
• Get outside for fresh air ☀️
• Drink water and eat something nourishing 💧
• Talk to someone you trust ❤️
• Take a break from social media 📱
• Do something that makes you smile 😊

Be gentle with yourself this month and every month. You are important, valued, and never alone. 💚

🌪️ Tornado Safety Tips 🌪️

Tornadoes can develop quickly and with little warning. Being prepared can help keep you and your loved ones safe.

🌀 Before a Storm:
• Know the difference between a Tornado Watch and Tornado Warning
• Have a family emergency plan
• Keep an emergency kit with water, medications, flashlights, batteries, and important documents
• Make sure you have multiple ways to receive weather alerts

🚨 During a Tornado Warning:
• Go to the lowest level of your home or building
• Choose a small interior room away from windows
• Protect your head and neck with blankets, pillows, or a helmet
• Avoid mobile homes and vehicles if possible

🚗 If You’re Outside or Driving:
• Never try to outrun a tornado in traffic
• Seek shelter in a sturdy building immediately
• Avoid overpasses and bridges

🌦️ After the Storm:
• Stay away from downed power lines and damaged areas
• Check on family, neighbors, and pets
• Continue listening to local officials for updates and safety instructions

Being prepared today can make all the difference tomorrow. Stay safe and stay weather aware, Kansas! 💙
