The local organization VALOR (Veterans and Loved Ones Resources) was born from a growing community of veterans, their loved ones and community partners coming together to support each other.

It’s officially mid September and we’re honoring the 330 veteran lives lost to su***de in those 15 days by placing 22 flags and lights (to illuminate each flag at night) in the ground, every day of the month. By the end of the month there will be 660 flags and lights in the ground. Please think about that horrendous number and the think about the veteran you are or the one you love.

If you feel compelled to do something to help prevent veteran su***de, please reach out to us here, or in the community. Say a prayer for continued healing. Or, consider donating to help us continue impacting veteran lives and preventing su***de.

Today is Day 14 totaling 308 flags and lights placed. That’s representing 22 VETERANS A DAY that we have loss due to SU***DE.. please continue to help us bring awareness and help decrease the numbers.

Day 10 = 220 flags and lights being placed to represent the many heroes we have lost due to su***de. Yesterday we had a beautiful day with many Veterans and people who love Veterans coming together to place the 22 flags for the day while also spending quality time together. Don’t miss out next Tuesday! Same place and time!😇
