Mr. Scott F. Bourcy, 54, passed away Saturday, November 29th, as the result of a car accident. The funeral mass will be held Friday, December 5th, at Noon, at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in Rosiere, with Father Raymond Diesbourg officiating. A private burial will follow in Parish Cemetery. There will be no public calling hours.
Scott was born February 22nd, 1971, the son of Donald and Karen Wood Bourcy. He graduated from Thousand Islands High School in 1990.
On August 8th, 2009, he married the former Shannon DeLany in Cape Vincent, where they got married on the river.
At the time of his death Scott was Co-owner with his cousin Lyle J. Wood of Woods Farm LLC. They are the 3rd Generation of Dairy Farmers.
Scott was a member of the Sons of the American Legion in Cape Vincent, a member of the Dairy Farming Associations, and past President of the Farm Service Agency.
He was an avid deer hunter, driving his side by side, he enjoyed the NY Giants, barbequing, boating, and gambling. He especially enjoyed entertaining his family and friends.
Surviving is his wife, Shannon; two sons, Collin (Ivey) of Clayton, and Conner of Philadelphia, NY; a stepdaughter, Emily Grace Rich of Jamestown; one grandson, Thomas Scott Bourcy; his mother, Karen Bourcy; one sister, Denise (John) Micek of Virginia; one brother, Brad and his companion Tammy Sweredoski of Lowville; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the Clayton Fire Department, the Cape Vincent Fire Department, or the TI Backpack Program.
