Jamie Blake, M.S., OTR/L ✨
Jamie Blake has been a dedicated Occupational Therapist for 15 years, specializing in neurological rehabilitation, upper extremity rehabilitation, visual therapy, and pediatric occupational therapy. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with a Minor in Dance from Lander University and her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Brenau University, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
Throughout her career, Jamie has worked in a variety of settings, including subacute rehabilitation, assisted living, outpatient pediatrics, and school-based therapy. She spent several years at Shepherd Center’s Brain Injury Department, where she gained extensive experience in brain injury rehabilitation, PTSD treatment, visual-motor therapy, and community reintegration. In 2018, she joined Fundamental Therapy Services, where she has since been providing comprehensive occupational therapy services for both pediatric and adult populations in the local community.
Jamie holds certifications in Physical Agent Modalities (CPAM) and Holistic Manual Lymphatic Drainage and previously earned certification as a Falls Prevention Specialist, which she is in the process of renewing. She has also received advanced training in neurodevelopmental treatment (NDT), visual perceptual deficits, handwriting interventions, and aging-in-place therapy. Currently, she is working toward her certification in Functional Vision Rehabilitation for both adults and children.
Jamie specializes in working with adults recovering from neurological disorders such as stroke, brain injury, and dementia, with a strong emphasis on caregiver education and upper extremity rehabilitation. She also provides pediatric therapy for children with neurological and medical complexities, upper extremity impairments, and visual-motor deficits.
Outside of work, Jamie enjoys spending time with her husband and three daughters, supporting their activities in Rabun County schools and sports. She loves traveling, outdoor adventures, and family game nights. She also shares her passion for dance by teaching ballet, tap, and jazz at the BRAT Center.
