Enhancing Pediatric Care Through Simulation Training.

A huge thank you to Kenya Kenya Jones, KidsABC Simulation Clinical Educator, for providing our Mountain Lakes Medical Center nursing team with a hands-on Emergency Room pediatric case simulation training this week.

The training session helped our nurses in advancing their clinical skills, reinforcing team coordination, and elevating our overall preparedness for pediatric care in the ER.

We are grateful for this partnership and the continued commitment to high-quality pediatric care in our rural community!

*KidsABC is a collaboration between the Georgia Rural Health Innovation Center Mercer University School of Medicine, and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.

Every day is rural health day at GRHIC, but today we celebrate the physicians, health care professionals and communities working to strengthen health and wellness across rural Georgia. GRHIC supports this mission by providing critical health education and resources through initiatives and collaborative efforts such as Kids Alliance for Better Care (KidsABC), the Maternal Health Observership and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Rural Scholars summer programs, the Georgia Agricultural Wellness Alliance, Pediatric Mental Health Initiative, Opioid Misuse Prevention Project and many more.

We are proud to work with people and organizations across the state to advance rural health together.

Our Partnership is Strong. The Future is Bright.

Mountain Lakes Medical Center was thrilled to participate in the GRHIC and State Office of Rural Health recruitment fair at Mercer University School of Medicine's Macon campus.

The students—from first-year medical enrollees to final-year residents—were exceptionally engaging and shared compelling visions for their future careers.

Earlier this week, GRHIC and the State Office of Rural Health hosted a recruitment fair on Mercer University School of Medicine's Macon campus. The event brought together medical students and residents interested in working with hospitals and medical practices in Georgia’s rural communities.

KidsABC is focused on improving access to quality pediatric care.
