PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma)

Conditions PRP can help with:
Osteoarthritis
Tendonitis
Bursitis
muscle strains
Muscle tears
Muscle fatigue or overuse
Sports injuries
Aches and pains

How PRP injections work
Plasma is rich in platelets. Platelets contain growth factors in concentrations much higher than naturally occur in the blood. These growth factors increase joint lubrication, and accelerate and boost healing by increasing the available healing cells to the location of pain or injury. This allows your body to heal faster and more efficiently. These healing cells can generate new tissue and repair damaged tissues along with lubricating the joints.

How many do I need?
Depending on the level of damage or injury, you may need 1-3 treatments with PRP separated by 6 weeks each.

Benefits of PRP over other treatments
PRP is safe and has no chance of allergic reaction because you are using your body’s own fluids
Effects are often seen within the first few weeks of treatment
No need for an invasive surgery or long recuperation time
Takes less than 30 minutes
May decrease your need for long term medication to control the pain and detrimental side effects of those medications
Natural treatment

ALA is one of the infusions we offer at PNW Medi Spa

Research shows ALA is or may be helpful in the management of many conditions. It has been shown to dramatically help, particularly in conjunction with glutathione, autoimmune conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, and lupus among others. ALA is also used to promote cardiac and hepatic health and wellness as well as helping to alleviate peripheral neuropathy pain from diabetes. New studies indicate it can be helpful in recovering from what is termed long term Covid. Is it a wonder nutrient? It just might be. See the chart below for details. Covid and IV NAD

One common denominator that has emerged from multiple research studies and articles on COVID is the importance of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+), an essential molecule that plays a critical role in multiple metabolic processes, including cellular metabolism. Learn what the latest science has to say about NAD levels in COVID patients, and how NAD IV therapy can help you optimize your own NAD levels.

According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) risk factors for hospitalization and death include one or more co-existing health conditions.

The greatest risk factors for COVID death are:

Obesity and sedentary lifestyle
Advanced age
Chronic high blood pressure
Fear and anxiety
Type II diabetes
Smoking
Pre-existing chronic disease
Vitamin D deficiency (low Vitamin D levels have been linked to higher risk of hospitalization and death from COVID.
It is important to note that risks of death increase with the number of co-existing conditions, and with advanced age.

What the Research Says About NAD Therapy and COVID:

A literature review published in November 2020 makes the case that deficient NAD levels in the elderly, obese and type 2 diabetics is strongly correlated with COVID mortality. The research team suggests that nutritional support with NAD therapy can potentially reduce COVID severity when used both preventively and as a therapeutic strategy.
Another review of studies published in June, 2021 concluded that treatment with combined metabolic activators (CMAs) made up of glutathione and NAD+ precursors leads to rapid symptom-free COVID rehabilitation.
A third scientific review makes a compelling case that supplementing with nicotinamide riboside, an NAD precursor, can boost natural immunity, significantly reduce COVID recovery time.

NAD IV Drip Therapy vs Oral NAD Supplementation
Oral NAD supplements can vary in potency and efficacy from brand to brand and batch to batch. Additionally, after metabolism of an oral supplement by the body, the concentration that reaches the blood stream and organs may be much lower than expected.

When you supplement with NAD via IV drip, NAD’s full potency is delivered directly to your bloodstream and carried to the cells that need it most.
