Yo, I know. Millions of people losing health insurance - I am one of them. I’ve always been on subsidized health care. How you think I had to learn so much about prevention, systemic harm, community building?

Yo, I know - millions losing access to food. Meraki Farmacy started because I was always in a garden, no matter where I was renting. Food is Medicine.

Yo, I know. You gotta be tone deaf and a fu**in psycho to be talking about the commercialization of sacred traditions during winter.

I’m a lot of things, and tone deaf ain’t one of em.

This is Medicine not Merchandise.
This is Solution, not Distraction.

This is how we survive, together.

How many organic, regenerative farmers growing food or herbs do you actually know? How many of us do you think there are? In any region of Pennsylvania? In the Mid Atlantic? On the East Coast? East of the Mississippi? In the vast expanse of the western lands? Run by Women?

How many companies do you support that are MNCs or run by the rich or are just another lateral move but there’s a woman and good branding and lots of marketing money.

Cmon now.

You want ethical consumption? To participate in the long standing tradition of sharing nourishment at Winter time?

You want answers to problems? You want to invest in your health without being part of another loop of bu****it?

You want a zero plastic Christmas? You want a community building Solstice? You want a land centered Hanukkah? You want a traditional Kwanzaa? You wanna share beauty and abundance?

You’re gonna wanna see this 👁️🏹

tomorrow we drop down into the 20s : the many iterations of Growing Seasons that start moving from the depths to the surface in February, and rise and roar and flux and ferment, miracles and magic it seems - how much wisdom lives in one seed, return to the Roots, storing and holding center, beckoning even me to rest.

I actually don’t have many pictures of the OG (original) MFHQ (Meraki Farmacy head quarters) from 2015—-2018, and 19-20-21-22 we were potted, transient, moving, and pretty damn sure I’d never have another opportunity ever to be with Land again. I think a part of me did actually die those years.

We were Yarrow, Comfrey, Motherwort, Rosemary in Pots.

I should probably remember all this, and the divine blessings of carrying Great Vision, still.

Will we grow together next year? It’s inevitable. Will it be with you? Here? How it can be? I don’t know.

But I sowed Cover Crops anyway.
I don’t own Land and never have. I give it all my time and money anyway.

Some of us have at least one eye on Scope all the time.

Since 2009, the Elk County Council on the Arts (ECCOTA) has proudly served as a contracted partner organization with the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts (PCA). Through this vital partnership, we have distributed hundreds of thousands of PA dollars to professional teaching artists, arts organization...
