Reflecting on last weeks celebrations in honor of for our heroes ❤️ Themed days and games!!

Self-Care Saturday - reminder that self-care and love is crucial to reset the nervous system for the intense requirements (emotionally, mentally, and physically) this job places. YES, please take time for yourselves ❤️ Cupping, Acupuncture, and Ice Bath!

*Shout out to former tech supervisor living her dream - Devs Bevs for showing up with her ice bath to spoil her former teammates and shedding light on how important self-care is as she hosted tech week celebration last year around this concept. We also had another former employee come back to support and encourage the team. We miss you too Amber!

This past week we celebrated our emergency heros here at CARE. . Those that have dedicated so much of their time, talents, and resources to helping every animal that enters our doors. They operate under the very oath they take :
"I solemnly dedicate myself to aiding animals and society by providing excellent care and services for animals, by alleviating animal suffering, and by promoting public health".

A Veterinary Technician performs a variety of roles in a faced pace and high risk environment. Your technicians are phlebotomists, xray technicians, lab technicians, icu nurses, anesthesiologists, surgery technicians, client liaisons, and so much more in just a single shift.

It takes a village and we are so proud to be here serving our community with our team. We could not operate without them. They are truly a backbone to the care your family member receives.

****UPDATE - Power restored. We are open and receiving calls and emails. We apologize for any inconvenience ******

Our power is temporarily out and we cannot receive phones calls or email. We have emergency power for all of our hospitalized patients so they are safe and well taken care of however, we will not be accepting any new patients until our power is restored. Rough estimation from the power company is 12:30pm. We will keep you posted.

Did you know that CARE is also a lizard spa!? Kidding! We aren’t! Buuuuut big or small, we help them all! 💕 This little guy was covered in paint and Dr. O’Connor was able to give him a little spa day and release him back into the wild! 🦎💕

We continue to be so humbled by the love for Sassy!! 🥰 Thank you so much to everyone who has reached out!! Since we have had many requests for an update on her status~ Sassy went home with her family last week and we wish her the best on her journey to recovery!! ❤️‍🩹 Again, we cannot thank our community enough for showing so much CARE, love, and concern for Sassy! 🐾💕

Y’all are the reason we found Sassy’s mom! We asked for your help and y’all went above and beyond!!! We’re so thankful to know that so many of you CARE about pets as much as we do! 🐾💕 We know it’s not enough… nonetheless … Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! 🐾💕

** update ** Her family has been found and they are here with us!! We cannot even begin to thank you for all of the support and sharing!!! Y’all are the reason her family is here with her now and our words fall short of expressing how incredible that is!! We have the most amazing community!! THANK YOU!!!! 💕🐾

We need your help! We currently have a black and white female Chihuahua in critical condition at our hospital and we need to find her family!! She was found next to the railroad track on Keene Rd before Sunset Point Rd. She has a microchip, but the number has been disconnected. The chip says her name is Caspo, but we're not sure if that's still accurate. She does not have a collar on. We need to find her family and have them contact us immediately!
