You probably feel lousy because your definition of eating Clean is all wrong… And that explains a lot

😮Here’s the truth no one tells you:

…You’re not eating clean enough to heal.
Not for your gut.
Not for your hormones.
Not for your real root causes.

👉Here are 8 mistakes I see my patients make every day, and exactly what to do instead:

1. Going Gluten-Free…but Swapping Gluten for Gluten-Free Processed Foods

❌ Mistake: You’re still eating gluten-free cookies, muffins, pizza, or snacks.
-Why it’s a problem: Processed is processed. even if the label says “gluten-free.”

✅ Do this instead: Focus on whole foods: clean protein, greens, healthy fats, and root veggies.

2. You Went Gluten-Free… But Not Grain-Free

❌ Mistake: You’ve cut out gluten, but you’re still eating corn, oats, rice, quinoa, and gluten-free bread or crackers.
-Why it’s a problem: For many women, all grains (not just gluten) drive inflammation, spike blood sugar, and feed gut imbalances, especially in perimenopause and menopause.

✅ Do this instead: Remove all grains for 30 to 90 days. Focus on clean proteins, veggies, and healing fats to lower inflammation and reset your metabolism.

3. Eating Clean: But Not Consistently

❌ Mistake: You eat well “most of the time” but go off-plan on weekends or during travel.
-Why it’s a problem: Your body doesn’t reset every Monday. Inflammation builds.

✅ Do this instead: Commit to a healing window of 21 to 90 days with no breaks — then reassess.

If you’re doing everything right and still gaining weight, here’s why…

You’re eating clean.
You’ve cut the sugar.
You’re loading up on good fats.
You’ve swapped in grass-fed protein, added in probiotics, even started bone broth and collagen.

And somehow…
💥 You’re more bloated
💥 Your weight is creeping up
💥 Your energy is crashing
💥 Your brain is sluggish
💥 Your pants are tighter — not looser

This isn’t about willpower.
It’s not about hormones.

That sounds dramatic, but hear me out.

If you’ve been eating clean, cutting out sugar, gluten, maybe even dairy…

Taking probiotics, drinking bone broth, adding good fats…

Following all the “right” gut and hormone advice…

And STILL feel inflamed, puffy, foggy, or stuck…

There’s a reason.

⚠️ For many women, there’s a hidden root cause that most experts don’t even test for.

It’s called LIBO — Large Intestine Bacterial Overgrowth (aka colonic dysbiosis).

And it flips the rules upside down.

Because when LIBO is the real issue, most of the usual “healthy” advice doesn’t help, it worsens your symptoms.
