-------Dr. Jerry & AI3 for Liberation-------
Dr. Gerald Niedzwiecki (Dr. Jerry) is a board certified/fellowship trained radiologist, and nationally recognized leader in multiple aspects of interventional radiology. He is pleased to participate in the care of patients suffering from CCSVI. Dr. Jerry's facility, Advanced Imaging & Interventional Institute (AI3) is his vision for state-of-the-art, effective and compassionate healthcare. This unique outpationt center has the ability to offer both the diagnostic imaging necessary for the diagnosis of CCSVI, as well as the minimally invasive treatments for CCSVI (Liberation). His facility is equipped with a full angio suite and c-arm, MRI, CT & Ultrasound, so CCSVI patients never need to set foot in the hospital.

-------Travel & Accomodation Information-------

There are multiple direct flights to Tampa International Airport and St. Petersburg/Clearwater airport. Numerous handicapped equipped hotels and restaurants are located within minutes of AI3. Consider AI3s wonderful facility and plenty of vitamin D in Florida. Those visiting from the pacific coast (or even further west) can enjoy the 3+ extra hours they gain following their Liberation. Clearwater Florida is not far from many top tropical tourist destinations (Key West, Cancun, Grand Cayman, U.S. & British Virgin Islands, to name a few). Plan extra time with your family to relax, feel the sand under your feet, and your improved quality of life following Liberation.

-------CCSVI Welcome Packet-------

If you are interested in learning more about Liberation with Dr. Jerry and AI3 you can obtain an electronic welcome packet providing detailed information. Simply send us an email to ccsviadmin@ai3web.com. We understand many have been delayed when inquiring at other locations. Please provide your name and telephone number so we can serve you better with a follow-up call. We have included some information below to provide additioinal understanding.

-------Pre-Liberation-------

The staff at AI3 perform your MRV (using Haacke protocol) & Ultrasound Doppler on site the day before your Liberation. The afternoon of your MRV & Ultrasound Doppler you will consult with Dr. Jerry about your test findings and your upcoming Liberation. Dr. Jerry has created a wonderful atmosphere for those with CCSVI, underserved, and looking for timely relief. All CCSVI patients, their family and close friends enjoy AI3s family center through Pre-Liberation and Liberation. It provides a relaxing environment for travel weary and waiting CCSVI families. It is equipped with luxurious and comfortable furniture, a large screen television, games, refrigeration, refreshments and a sunny, palm tree filled view. Pictures of the Family Center are available for viewing on this page. Most families take full advantage of the relaxing environment by playing board games, reading, sharing experiences with other families, watching TV, or simply napping. We know Liberation affects the whole family so AI3 makes it comfortable for everyone.

-------Liberation-------

The day of your Liberation you wil meet with Dr. Jerry's very highly trained staff consisting of certified Nurses, Technologists and Physician Assistants, all of whom assist Dr. Jerry during your Liberation. Liberation generally lasts about 1.5 hours once in the IR suite. Following the procedure you need to rest. Most patients sleep, but a television is available at each recovery bed if you choose otherwise. Following a short recovery and release you can leave with your family. Don't be discouraged if they need to be coaxed from the Family Center!

-------Post-Liberation-------

The day after your Liberation you come back to AI3 for an Ultrasound. Within a week you will be contacted by a trained Physician Assistant from AI3 to discuss your Ultrasound results and to hear how you are doing. We love to hear the stories of what extent of Liberation you have already experienced. We frequently hear of reduced neck pain and improved mobility, improved sensitivity in hands and feet, clearer head, improved vision, improved bladder and colon function, less fatigue, to name a few. Finally, a routine appointment will be scheduled for you to return to AI3 3 months following Liberation. The AI3 staff and Dr. Jerry look forward to seeing you again.

-------Your Input is Appreciated-------

Although AI3s offer is the best you will find, the cost to you is remarkably the lowest in the industry. Your input and referrals are the wonderful contribution we need to keep it that way. Spend as much time on our page as you like, and let us know when you would like to discuss the next steps toward your Liberation. Our friendly staff at ccsviadmin@ai3web.com are ready and excited to serve you!

CCSVI Weekly News just posted a new blog about the upcoming studies into CCSVI Liberation for MS patients.

REAL Breakthroughs in MS Research:
As much as neurologists and immunologists continue to claim this exploration is dead, finito, over---there are still dozens of publications in press or being published which elucidate the vascular connection of CCSVI to neurological disease. This exploration is far from over, as more and more international investigators join in the exploration.

THE WORD IS FINALLY GETTING OUT ABOUT CCSVI LIBERATON! The International commitment of the MS societies pursuing CCSVI is now up to $3.4million dollars! After much coercion, the MS Society of Canada has decided to conduct a part 2 clinical trial to further research the efficacy of CCSVI Liberation in MS patients. The 2 year trial began in July of 2012, and the results will be published soon. To read more, click the link below.

Many studies are underway to understand CCSVI and its relation to MS.

Greetings all! We found a great forum for anyone looking to post questions about the CCSVI Liberation Treatment, or read testimonials from people who have already had the procedure done. This is the most recent post:

It has been nearly four years since I have posted anything in this forum. My neglect can be attributed to, well, living life!

I had the Liberation Treatment performed on August 13, 2010. Since then, I have taken zero- ZERO- meds to manage my MS. I have also had zero relapses. Frankly, I am just fine.

My weekends, formally used to recover from those nasty Avonex side effects, are now filled with activity.

Congratulations on getting published! Your tireless efforts to promote education and speak out against those claiming that CCSVI treatment in MS patients is unsuccessful is inspiring to us all; keep up the good work!

Great update from Kerri in Australia! She discusses her results 4 years after her CCSVI treatment, and provides great insights on the controversy surrounding this procedure in MS patients posting "I try not to get too upset with the commercial interests in the world of MS. I used to get quite angry and frustrated but try and combat that by keeping informed and trusting my own judgment for my own life - that I can control somewhat and it seems to be working."

An update on how I am doing four years later. Also some thoughts about the challenges in CCSVI research and hopes for the future. In answer to some questions...

UPDATE RE: MEDICAL TOURISM FOR CCSVI TREATMENTS
**This is great read for anyone considering CCSVI treatment**

SAVE MONEY, SAVE TIME, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, RECEIVE THE BEST TREATMENT AVAILABLE! Conveniently located in Clearwater FL, AI3 offers CCSVI treatments with full pre and post-operative care for a fraction of the cost.

This article discusses the continued success of CCSVI treatments in MS patients despite disputes from the MS Society (mainly in Canada) that the treatment is unrelated. Undeterred by these claims, hundreds of patients have chosen to undergo the treatment after hearing success stories from others who have benefited, and as a result, the number of patients traveling outside of their native country to receive treatment has increased significantly. This particular study was composed of 124 patients who traveled outside of the country to receive the treatment, and all but 2 said that their treatment was successful. Since we have seen so many positive outcomes firsthand, the high success rate was not surprising to us; HOWEVER it was shocking to read about the lack of pre & post-operative care that is offered in other countries! At AI3, we provide the highest quality care before, during, and after the procedure to ensure that every patient gets the continued care that they need and deserve. The article also discussed the high cost of the procedure (upwards of $20,000) not including the price of travel to a foreign country. Conveniently located in Clearwater, FL AI3 was the first free standing facility in the country to offer CCSVI treatments, and since 2006 Dr. Jerry Niedzwiecki has successfully treated hundreds of patients while traveling across the world to train other physician’s to do the same. The success rates have been outstanding, and the cost is a fraction of what clinics outside of the US are charging without pre or post-operative care. Our goal is to make the entire process as easy as possible by helping patients with anything from making travel arrangements to providing activities for accompanying family members. If you are interested in a CCSVI treatment, please contact us for a complimentary welcome packet to learn more about the procedure, our facility, and Dr. Niedzwiecki.

Great article sent to us from our friend Peter Sullivan; thank you for taking the time to share this with us and spread the message about the importance of HOPE!

A January 2014 study by Australian researchers, published in Journal of the International Society of Behavioural Medicine, observed that hope is an important resource for coping with chronic illness; however, the role of hope in adjusting to multiple sclerosis (MS) has been neglected, and the mechan...

Thank you to all of our followers! This article proves that 1 person really CAN make a difference, and how your continued support & involvement has led to significant policy changes within the medical community. Resource allocation to further treatment of MS patients with CCSVI has been historically low...but it doesn't have to stay that way. A tremendous amount of public involvement and citizen engagement to strengthen this cause has led to policy changes and reallocation of resources within the scientific research community. SOCIAL MEDIA has played the biggest role, opening the lines of communication and shedding light on the importance of community and individual advocacy. AI3 is proud to play a small role in this movement by continually working to provide patients with the latest news and clinical findings related to the cause. Together we can make a difference!
