This one-day class is appropriate for those who would like to learn how to make and use local plant medicines for conditions common in humans and animals. Michelle is a trained Western Clinical herbalist with a master’s level education in plant medicine. The class will concentrate on correct identification, harvesting, and preparation of locally available plants which are useful in treating and preventing illness and injury.
Students will learn:
• The incredible wound healer that physicians/ veterinarians wish they knew about.
• The plant that can stop bleeding, minimize bruising and reduce fevers.
• The root that can assist to detox the liver from a lifetime of medications
• The root that can nourish your joints to assist in recovery from acute and repetitive joint injury.
• The prickly plant that can address symptoms of urinary tract infection and gout.
• Hands on preparation of tinctures, oils, and salves.
• Each student will leave with a tincture and a prepared plant salve.
