I am still living and seeing patients in Florida and expect to be here until the early part of 2026. In the meantime another great weekend weekend in the city. Seeing the 5th Avenue mile and my training partner from Westchester Track Club, Connor O’Driscoll blaze a 5:30 mile in the 60+ division was a highlight of the weekend. Hell’s Kitchen was brilliant!

Perhaps my least favorite thing to do is to tell a runner they have to stop running. This patient has an Anterior Tibial Stress fracture. The last Doctor she was seeing told her the leg was healed a few months ago and she could run. 7 months since her original injury and still having pain. Shockwave Therapy and a Bone Stimulator will hopefully help it heal soon! The X-Ray findings for this injury is known as “the dreaded black line”.
