Carolyn Lenz Counseling, LLC Helping trauma survivors heal and fostering professional development in my peers is what drives my work and fuels my passion.

I am a EMDR Certified therapist and an EMDR Consultant-in-Training offering telehealth services to adults in FL, AZ, & SD. I began my career as a social worker in the Child Welfare System in North Carolina. After several years, it became apparent that I was merely putting a band-aid on a gaping wound. This realization led me back to school to earn my master’s degree in counseling and focus on helping trauma survivors heal. Since then, I have worked as a counselor in a variety of capacities such as in-home counseling, an outpatient treatment center, a sexual assault victim advocate, community mental health non-profit, a university system and in private practice. Working with survivors in so many ways has helped deepen my understanding of the many ways that individuals are impacted by mental health symptoms and the resilience that lies within us.
