Shutdown can look like:
🌼 going quiet mid-argument
🌼 forgetting what you were saying
🌼 feeling numb or disconnected

That’s not you being “bad at communication.” That’s your brain hitting its capacity.

Think about practicing these:
🌸 Say: “I need a minute to think” (not “I’m fine”)
🌸 Put both feet on the floor and press down
🌸 Slow your breathing before speaking again
🌸 Come back with ONE sentence, not a full explanation

You don’t need better words. You need less overwhelm while speaking.

• meals, logistics, conversations
• invisible planning no one sees

That’s constant output with no off switch.

Pick just one and try it out:
🌼 Write down everything you managed today (yes, everything)
🌼 Cross off 1 thing that isn’t actually yours to carry
🌼 Ask for help on something small (don’t overthink it)
🌼 Delay ONE non-urgent task without guilt( I know that’s hard)

You don’t need to do more.
You need to stop carrying what’s breaking you.

What’s Good is an open forum for kids to talk about kid stuff!! It’s an interactive student led group where kids can build confidence and learn to communicate clearly and with compassion.

Try this for a shift:
🌿 Instead of “why do I do this?” ask “what is this protecting me from?”
🌿 Notice when it shows up (not after)
🌿 Interrupt ONE pattern, not all of them
