One year from now I want to look back and say…
I trusted myself enough to set firm boundaries. I stopped explaining my pain to people committed to misunderstanding it.

I chose emotional safety over familiarity.

This feels hard because boundaries can trigger guilt.
Because leaving or changing dynamics can feel lonely.
Because clarity often costs comfort at first.

And I’m choosing it anyway…
one boundary, one honest decision, one act of self-respect at a time.

We often set goals around doing more,but real growth (especially in families and relationships) starts with honesty, awareness, and emotional clarity.

Here are 7 questions I’m asking myself in the new year.
Take your time with them:

1️⃣ Where am I reacting instead of responding and what is that protecting?
2️⃣ What emotions do I avoid feeling, even with the people I love most?
3️⃣ Where have I been unclear instead of honest to keep the peace?
4️⃣ What patterns keep showing up in my relationships and what are they asking me to learn?
5️⃣ When do I feel most emotionally safe, and what makes that possible?
6️⃣ What does deeper connection actually look like for me…not what I should want?
7️⃣ What is one small emotional shift that would change how I show up daily?

You don’t need perfect answers and you don’t have to figure this out all at once.
This kind of clarity is something you can practice…with support.
