Shutdown can look like:
🌼 going quiet mid-argument
🌼 forgetting what you were saying
🌼 feeling numb or disconnected
That’s not you being “bad at communication.” That’s your brain hitting its capacity.
Think about practicing these:
🌸 Say: “I need a minute to think” (not “I’m fine”)
🌸 Put both feet on the floor and press down
🌸 Slow your breathing before speaking again
🌸 Come back with ONE sentence, not a full explanation
You don’t need better words. You need less overwhelm while speaking.
