Hygeia’s core philosophy is that we strive to provide the level of care we would want our own family members to receive. This emanates from quality control measures which begin when we hire a new clinician: Professionals are screened with complex clinical interviews to ascertain competence and once hired the clinician’s work is rigorously evaluated to ensure that they provide the highest quality of care. Our clinician owners embody the epitome of the “hands on” management style, frequently providing treatments themselves and during these treatments eliciting from patients impressions of the company and their caregivers. As healthcare professionals, we are uniquely able to ascertain whether the patient is being properly cared for and can quickly discern problems before they become impediments to recovery. Finally, we invest considerably in the quality of our care, paying Hygeia’s clinicians at the highest levels in the industry and providing our working professionals with high quality tools. We believe home care is a vital, cost effective service which helps individuals recover from disease or injury in their own homes and enables them to maintain their independence. With the aging population, home care plays a pivotal role in reducing hospitalizations and placements in nursing homes ensuring the long term viability of the Medicare system. Therefore, with conviction and passion we march forward with our mission of providing the community and our patients with an agency which provides nothing less than outstanding care.

Step right up and test your luck at the Hygeia Carnival! For National Fun Day at work we had a carnival themed lunch with some fun activities! Nothing like taking a step back from all the hard work you put in day in and day out, to have a little fun and bring a smile to someone’s face.

Our Sheila and Tara assisted The Pavilion of East Tampa with their resident wheelchair wash yesterday. The residents enjoyed refreshments and snacks while soaking up the sun on a nice fall day. Thank you ladies for helping get their residents chairs squeaky clean!
