Long drives shouldn’t leave you stiff, sore, or achy — good posture behind the wheel makes a huge difference! 🚗✨
Here are quick ways to maintain better driving posture and protect your spine:
Adjust your seat so your knees are slightly bent and you can reach the pedals comfortably without stretching.
Position the seat back upright (not too reclined) so your back is fully supported.
Keep your lower back pressed against the seat — add a small rolled towel or lumbar support if needed.
Hold the steering wheel at 9 and 3 (not 10 and 2) to keep your shoulders relaxed.
Sit at “arm’s length” from the wheel — you should be able to rest your wrists on the top of the steering wheel with your shoulders down.
Take micro-breaks: every 1–2 hours, stop, stretch your neck, shoulders, and back, and walk for a minute.
Small adjustments = less tension, fewer headaches, and a happier spine — especially if you drive a lot or combine it with chiropractic care to stay aligned.
Try one of these tips on your next drive and notice the difference!
