Bhante Dhammawansha, whose quiet, kindly nature welcomes all, is the Dhamma Wheel Meditation Society’s president and inspiring teacher. Born in the district of Kandy, Sri Lanka, Bhante Dhammawansha became a monk at the age of 16. He studied at the Buddhist University where he received a B.A. degree in Buddhism, History, Ethics and the languages of Sanskrit and Pali. His travels have taken him to S

candinavia, Russia, Australia, India, Nepal and Thailand where he has taught the Dhamma (the truth taught by the Buddha). for a personal retreat in 1996 and now conducts buddhist counseling, engages in social and interfaith work, and presents dhamma talks to high school students and drug/alcohol rehabilitation centers
Bhante is usually available for conversation and questions after our meditation sessions and events. REGULAR SCHEDULE
Thursdays, 7:00-8:00 PM Vipassana (insight) Meditation
Sundays, 6:00-8:00 PM Dhamma Discussion and Metta (Loving-kindness) Meditation
