🚨 Is your cat struggling in the litter box? Don’t ignore the signs. 🐾

Constipation in cats can escalate quickly—especially if they go days without relief.

⚠️ Signs your cat may need urgent care:
• Straining without producing stool
• No bowel movement for 48+ hours
• Vomiting or loss of appetite

• Abdominal discomfort
• Small, dry, or bloody stool

Causes can range from dehydration and hairballs to more serious underlying conditions—and if left untreated, it can lead to complications like megacolon.

🌸 Spring Is in the Air… But So Are Seasonal Pet Toxins! 🐾

As the weather warms up and we spend more time outdoors, it’s important to be aware of common spring hazards that can be dangerous for pets. Curious noses and hungry pups can easily get into things that may seem harmless but can quickly turn into an emergency.

Here are a few spring toxins to watch out for:

🌷 Spring flowers – Plants like **Lilies, Tulips, and Daffodils can be toxic if chewed or ingested.
🧪 Fertilizers & pesticides – Lawn and garden treatments can cause stomach upset or more serious illness.
🍫 Holiday treats – Seasonal goodies, especially **Chocolate, can be dangerous for pets.
🧅 Outdoor plants & bulbs – Digging pets may uncover bulbs that can be toxic when eaten.
💊 Human medications – Over-the-counter and prescription medications such as Ibuprofen, Acetaminophen, and Naproxen can be extremely toxic to pets if accidentally ingested.

If you suspect your pet has ingested something toxic, don’t wait—seek veterinary care immediately.

At Fetch Clearwater, our team is here 24/7 for emergencies to help keep your pets safe this spring. 💙

🐾🐝 Ouch! Your dog stepped on a bee—now what?

Dogs love exploring—but sometimes that curiosity leads to a painful surprise 😢 A bee sting can happen in seconds, especially when pups are running through grass or sniffing around flowers.

👀 Common signs to look for:
• Limping or favoring a paw
• Licking or chewing at the area
• Swelling or redness
• Whining or sudden discomfort

Most stings are mild—but reactions can be unpredictable. In some cases, dogs can have allergic reactions that need urgent care.

🚨 Go to the ER right away if you notice:
• Vomiting or diarrhea
• Trouble breathing
• Facial swelling
• Weakness or collapse

At Fetch Specialty & Emergency Veterinary Centers – Clearwater, our emergency team is here 24/7 to help when the unexpected happens—nights, weekends, and holidays. 💙

If you’re ever unsure, it’s always okay to play it safe and give us a call.

At Fetch Clearwater, our expert surgical team offers TPLO surgery, the gold standard for stabilizing the knee and helping dogs get back to doing what they love. 💙

When your pet isn’t feeling like themselves, getting answers quickly can make all the difference 🐾💙

At Fetch Specialty & Emergency Veterinary Centers – Clearwater, we offer advanced endoscopy—a minimally invasive way to look inside your pet’s body without traditional surgery. Using a small camera, our Internal Medicine specialist can diagnose (and sometimes treat!) issues in real time.

✨ Endoscopy can help with:
• Ongoing vomiting or diarrhea
• Swallowed objects (toys, bones, string & more)
• Chronic sneezing or nasal discharge
• Persistent coughing or breathing concerns
• Urinary or bladder issues
• Collecting biopsies for clear answers

Because there are no large incisions, most pets go home the same day with less discomfort and a quicker recovery 🙌

Sometimes X-rays or ultrasound don’t tell the full story—and that’s where endoscopy can help us find answers faster, so your pet can feel better sooner.

If your pet has ongoing symptoms and you’re looking for clarity, our Clearwater team is here for you—day or night.
