I have been working in pediatrics for over 21 years and as a Nurse Practitioner for over 15 years. I have a wide range of experience culminating from a Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Nursery to after-hours urgent care to the Pediatric ED at Brenners' Children Hospital. In all these places, I learned that the one of the most important aspects of healthcare is servicing families with dignity and pr

oviding accessibility to quality care. In May 2023, I made a decision to follow my heart and walk in my true purpose of bringing accessibility to quality care to the community. I believe that healthcare should be available convenient to families regardless of transportation, work schedules, income or location. Purposeful Pediatrics, PLLC is here to serve children ages 6 months to 17 years of age. At this time, we will manage acute illnesses and provide also sports physicals at the convenience of your home.

A lot of people say they know what they’re supposed to do…
But how many are truly willing to go through the process to get there?

The truth is, many people desire purpose but reject the discomfort that comes with becoming.

Purpose often requires:
💥 Healing old wounds
💥 Learning discipline
💥 Being corrected
💥 Staying consistent when no one is clapping
💥 Growing through seasons that feel uncomfortable

From childhood to adulthood, so much potential goes unfulfilled—not because people lack talent, but because they resist the stretching required to reach it.

Purpose isn’t just about the destination.
It’s about who you become on the journey.

Sometimes the hidden season is protection.

Do you ever feel like it’s always “if it’s not one thing, it’s another?”

Did you know that Purposeful Pediatrics proudly supports 2 charter schools in Forsyth County with their school nurse needs?

We believe our students deserve access to trained, knowledgeable, and well-supported healthcare professionals while they learn and grow. That’s why our Nurse Practitioner spent time in Burlington, NC attending the Spring School Nurse Conference alongside other Charter School nurses.

From continuing education to collaboration and updated best practices, we are committed to staying equipped so we can provide the highest level of care to the students and families we serve.

Allergy Season Is Here! 🤧

If your child has been sneezing, rubbing their eyes, coughing, or waking up congested… April is often one of the toughest allergy months thanks to heavy tree pollen and changing weather.

💊 Common over-the-counter allergy medicine options parents often use include:
✔️ Zyrtec
✔️ Claritin
✔️ Xyzal
✔️ Allegra

👃🏽 For nasal congestion, drainage, and ongoing symptoms, Flonase can also be a helpful option.

👀 Itchy, watery eyes? Antihistamine eye drops may provide relief too.

⭐ Most important tip: Whatever regimen works for your child, consistency matters. Take it daily through at least the end of May and for some children with longer seasons, even beyond that.
