Purposeful Pediatrics, A House Call Medical Service

Purposeful Pediatrics, A House Call Medical Service Filling in the gap... bringing compassionate, quality and equitable healthcare to your doorstep!

I have been working in pediatrics for over 21 years and as a Nurse Practitioner for over 15 years. I have a wide range of experience culminating from a Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Nursery to after-hours urgent care to the Pediatric ED at Brenners' Children Hospital. In all these places, I learned that the one of the most important aspects of healthcare is servicing families with dignity and providing accessibility to quality care. In May 2023, I made a decision to follow my heart and walk in my true purpose of bringing accessibility to quality care to the community. I believe that healthcare should be available convenient to families regardless of transportation, work schedules, income or location. Purposeful Pediatrics, PLLC is here to serve children ages 6 months to 17 years of age. At this time, we will manage acute illnesses and provide also sports physicals at the convenience of your home.

Monday

“Don’t complain about what you did not get from the work you did not put in.”

As we close out the 3rd quarter of the year, this is the reminder we all need:
✨ In parenting — are we expecting respect, consistency, and peace in our homes without modeling it daily?
✨ In adulthood — are we desiring growth, stability, or freedom without putting in the discipline, savings, or sacrifice it takes?
✨ In relationships — are we longing for love, trust, or connection without investing time, communication, and effort?

🌱 You cannot harvest where you have not planted. The results you want tomorrow require the work you commit to today.

As we evaluate this 3rd quarter, be honest with yourself. 🤔🤓What seeds do you need to plant now to see the harvest you’re hoping for?

- Su***de Prevention Awareness Month

September is Su***de Prevention Awareness Month—a time to bring light to a tough but very real topic.

Su***de is the second leading cause of death among teens and young adults, and it affects families across all communities.

As parents, caregivers, and friends, here are 3 things we can do:

1️⃣ Check in often – Ask your child how they’re really feeling. Sometimes a simple, ‘How’s your heart today?’ opens the door.
2️⃣ Look for warning signs – changes in sleep, withdrawal from friends, or loss of interest in activities they usually enjoy.
3️⃣ Normalize mental health care – Remind your kids it’s okay to talk to a counselor, therapist, or trusted adult.

💡 Here’s the most important thing: if your child—or anyone you know—ever expresses thoughts of self-harm, take it seriously.

📲 Call or text 988, the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline, available 24/7.

At Purposeful Pediatrics, we believe mental health is just as important as physical health. We’re here to support parents and children with education, resources, and encouragement every step of the way. 💙

Stay connected, check in, and remember—your presence could save a life.

✨Health Tip Tuesday – Just for Parents! ✨

Let’s be real mornings can feel rushed, evenings can feel stressful, and somewhere in the middle we’re trying to hold it all together.

Here are 3 quick ways to set the tone for peace and productivity ⬇️

1️⃣ Wake up earlier – Even 10–15 minutes of quiet time can center your mind before the chaos begins.

2️⃣Prepare at night – Lay out clothes, pack lunches, and set a game plan so mornings run smoother.

3️⃣ Set boundaries & expectations – Then stick with them. Consistency reduces conflict and teaches kids structure.

💡 Remember: Our kids are watching. Let’s model the behavior we expect. Softer words in the morning = calmer hearts all day.

At Purposeful Pediatrics, we’re here to support the whole family—because healthy kids need healthy parents. 💙

🌧️✨ Motivation Monday ✨🌧️

“The rain falls in the season it’s supposed to.”

Just like the rain, growth and breakthrough show up in their appointed time. You can’t rush the season, and you can’t always predict the storm — but you can trust that what falls is meant to nourish you. 🌱

In parenting, in work, in life — don’t despise the rain. Sometimes what feels uncomfortable is the very thing preparing you for the bloom ahead. 🌸

💭 This week, instead of asking “why now?” — shift to “what is this watering in me?”

At Purposeful Pediatrics, we’re here to walk with families through every season — supporting you when it’s sunny, and helping you stand when it rains. ☀️🌧️

✨ Motivation Monday ✨

Purpose will often require a pivot — from those “you” want to help… to those who actually “want your” help. 💡

That shift isn’t rejection, it’s redirection. 🙌
Whether in parenting, work, or relationships, pouring into the wrong places will leave you empty. But when you lean into the spaces and people who are ready to receive, your impact multiplies.

💭 This week, ask yourself: Am I giving my best energy to those who truly value it?

At Purposeful Pediatrics, our mission is clear 💁🏽‍♀️: To serve families who value & understand innovative healthcare and are ready to partner with us in the journey of their child’s health and growth.

Together, we will thrive. 🌱

🤯🤔🧐 Did you know…
Labor Day, first celebrated in 1894, honors the contributions and achievements of American workers?
It’s a day set aside to recognize hard work while also reminding us of the importance of rest.

✨ Purposeful Pediatrics will be closed today in observance of Labor Day. ✨

We encourage you to take this day to pause, rest, and rejuvenate with your loved ones. Parenting is a full-time labor of love—and you deserve moments of peace and restoration, too. 💛

From our family to yours, may today be filled with laughter, rest, and renewed strength for the season ahead!

Motivation Monday
“Sometimes negotiation is the birthplace of compromise.”

As the first weeks of school kicks off in many places, let’s talk boundaries, standards, and staying grounded.
Because here’s the truth:
Not every battle is worth fighting, but not every standard is worth surrendering, either.

In parenting, in relationships, and in everyday routines—negotiation can be healthy…
But don’t let it pull you so far that you compromise what matters most.

💡 Let your children practice their voice, but also remind them of values that don’t shift.
💡 Listen, but stay firm on what creates safety, structure, and self-respect.
💡 Boundaries don’t block connection—they build trust.

As parents, you are the first voice of authority and affirmation your children hear.
Empower them with wisdom AND guidance.
This school year, let’s raise kids who can speak up and stand strong. ✨😬

At Purposeful Pediatrics, we support families with care that considers the whole child—mind, body, and purpose.

✨ Motivation Monday ✨
“Be careful not to allow people to pervert your purpose.”

Your purpose is sacred—don’t let it get twisted by opinions, pressure, or proximity.
Sometimes it’s not what you’re doing that feels off… it’s who you’ve allowed to influence it.

In work, friendships, and even relationships, people may try to reshape your path to fit their comfort, their narrative, or their needs.
But your calling wasn’t a conference call. Everyone doesn’t have access to your “why.”

💡 Stay aware of your energy, alignment, and integrity.
💡 Surround yourself with people who sharpen you, not shift your mission for their gain.

Your purpose doesn’t require perfection—it requires protection. And that starts with knowing who you are and what you’re called to do.

This week, check in with yourself.
✅Are you still moving in alignment?
✅Are your relationships reflecting the purpose you carry?

At Purposeful Pediatrics, our mission remains clear—to provide intentional, compassionate care to families in our community. We don’t chase clout—we stay rooted in calling.

In this next season, your elevation will depend on how you handle the people who didn’t treat you right in the last one.

✨ Remember✨
Your growth, peace, and purpose are not tied to how others saw you, but to how God called you! Keep walking with grace, wisdom, and strength. 💪🏾❤️
