Individual therapy is amazing, but having a group that can offer advice is incredibly beneficial. When we start recovery, we may not know what we need to make it past the next day. Having the guidance of others who have made it to the next day is vital for us to gain insight into others and ourselves.

Therapists found that sharing experiences in a group setting helped foster resilience and healing. At Valor Lakes, we carry this legacy forward—offering a supportive space for individuals to share, connect, and grow together. What do you think makes shared experiences so impactful?

At Valor Lakes, we've cultivated an environment where can people can show up and connect with others before group therapy even begins. People are able to break barriers and be reminded of the fact that they aren't alone on this journey! We are here to support you every step of the way. 💙

One of the most important parts of group therapy is being around other like minded people. It can be easy to feel alone in recovery, but our group settings at Valor Lakes promise support from our faculty and other group members! ✨

A therapist will gently challenge any cognitive distortions you may have, and help you point out the times when you've succeeded. The relationship and trust you build with your therapist will allow them to know you better and help you to identify the progress you're making.
