The Central Florida Dreamplex offers traditional and recreational therapies, adaptive sports, education, vocational rehabilitation, and social opportunities for the whole family! The Central Florida Dreamplex blends alternative therapy, adaptive sports and recreation activities, and group fitness classes for the whole family into one location to serve your wellness needs.. Our facility boasts a 24’ long traverse rock wall, an Exerbike gaming system, a GameCycle, and gymnastics equipment to make therapy and fitness fun! Our occupational therapy room focuses on sensory integration, utilizing Nintendo Wii games, the Timocco interactive game set, and a therapeutic listening program. The Central Florida Dreamplex also serves as a fitness center for the entire family. Our selection of cardiovascular and strength-training equipment allows our members to get in a workout while a family member receives therapy or participates in a group class. Our wheelchair-accessible Cybex Total Access equipment allows users of all abilities to stay fit. We also host family nights in which our staff and volunteers lead activities for the children while mom and dad do their own workout or spend a night out. Our fitness classes are led by experienced instructors, and in many classes a licensed therapist is on-hand to assist. Our classes are designed to highlight and celebrate your child’s abilities. We also offer adult group fitness classes to members and guests of all abilities. Please visit our website for our current class schedule. The Friendship Place at Central Florida Dreamplex is looking for compassionate, dependable individuals to join our team supporting adults with developmental disabilities in our Life Skills Development program.

This is a meaningful opportunity to make a real impact while working in a positive, engaging environment focused on independence, creativity, and community.

POSITION TYPES
Full-Time: 30–35 hours per week
Part-Time: 12–18 hours per week

WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Support adults with developmental disabilities in daily activities
• Assist with life skills, social skills, and group activities
• Help facilitate crafts, fitness, drama, and community outings
• Encourage independence and confidence
• Assist with personal care or hygiene if needed
• Maintain a safe and positive environment

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO IS
• Compassionate and patient
• Reliable and responsible
• Positive and team-oriented
• Comfortable assisting with personal care if needed
• Passionate about helping others succeed

QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience with disabilities preferred but not required
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Valid driver’s license preferred
• Must pass background screening
