Hi Everyone!

Our upcoming (like tomorrow, February 21st), Coffee and Conversation, topic is... Love. Not sure what happened there choosing it on Valentine's Day last week, but here we are.
💕
We will open the discussion with what is love, or what is loving. As we move through our daily lives, there are countless loving acts. Do we see them? Feel them? We will talk about how to practically extend and receive love.
❣️
Something yoga and Buddhism share are the brahma vihārā, known as the divine abodes. They are the four ways the heart experiences the world. The only ways the heart sees. Akin to the four directions of a compass, the heart can guide us.
🫀
This offering is a group discussion format around the topics of meaning and life. It is donation-based, so when you register, you will be given an option to donate.
🙏🏼
We meet in the cozy back area with a couch, comfy chairs, floor space. Some people take a class before or after the group. Grab coffee or tea and join us. It is a wonderful breadth of people with deep insight and understanding.

Last chance for our workshop this weekend with Brian Sheridan!

Join us for an educational and practical workshop focused on understanding the role of stretching and how it supports long-term spinal health. Together, we’ll explore how working skillfully with the muscles helps us access and support the spine—keeping movement strong, balanced, and sustainable.

We’ll discuss the seven directions of the spine and the seven positions of the body, learning how they work together to improve mobility, stability, and overall function. Through clear demonstrations and guided practice, you’ll build a deeper awareness of how your body moves and how to care for it intelligently.

Using a class manual, we’ll move step-by-step through practical exercises designed to help you embody the concepts—giving you tools you can continue to practice long after the workshop ends.

Come ready to learn, explore, and of course… practice, practice, practice!

Our newest offering, Coffee and Conversation, Saturdays at 11 am, has taken off quickly. A group discussion format around the topics of meaning and life. What a joy to see people connect about important and hard things. This is how deep knowing happens. The ease with which the talks flow, with so many people, is a beauty to experience. No one is interrupted. Everyone speaks. Space is given to listen and understand. Silence is respected and honored.
☕️
Last week, we talked through what is grief and our individual experiences of it, and how it connects us to others in ways that are hard to give language. This Saturday, February 7th, we will be taking a road from grief and discuss how to manage life right now (current events and dealing with a protracted winter). While there is an inkling to narrow the focus, it seems best to leave it open for this group to include what is relevant.
📖
As always, the hope is that our talks broaden the lens with which to view our world. We are excited to watch how this is moving along... We meet in the comfy and cozy (read warm) back area. Let us know you are coming, and we will see you there.

*Donation-based.

Hi All!

Our newest offering, Coffee and Conversation, Saturdays at 11 am, this week January 31st! A group discussion format around the topics of meaning and life.

Thank you to everyone who braved the cold and snow. We had a deep conversation about forgiveness, ultimately questioning whether we know what it is, or at least, people understanding it differently as individuals.

Our next Coffee and Conversation, Saturday, January 31st, will be about grief. It was a natural off-shoot from our last session. In the words of a participant, "Grief can be raw. One of the most human things all of us will experience is grief. If we can figure out how to share that, maybe it makes it easier?"

To be honest, when we were choosing topics, I think I shied away from grief because it is so hard. But this is why we meet and how we connect as humans.

As always, the hope is that our talks broaden the lens with which to view our world. We are excited to watch how this is moving along... After January, the group will be donation-based. We will offer the funds to an organization that changes monthly.

We meet in the comfy and cozy (read warm) back area. Let us know you are coming, and we will see you there.

Lotus Flower Yoga Collective is providing the coffee and tea, and there is no cost through January.

It is a beautiful thing - watching the natural, organic path to take form as we choose topics for the Coffee and Conversation upcoming sessions.
☕️ 👄
To that end, this week, Saturday, January 24th, we will be discussing what is forgiveness, and what it is not. A suggestion was offered to read the book, The Sunflower by Simon Wiesenthal. A great read.
📖
As always, the hope is that our talks broaden the lens with which to view our world. The coffee has been ordered.
