April 2 is the 17th World Autism Awareness Day. Children with autism are also called ”Children of the Stars“ because they live in a world of their own and are as lonely as the stars.

World Autism Awareness Day aims to increase people‘s awareness about people, especially children, with autism. The day often features educational events for teachers, health care workers and parents, as well as exhibitions showcasing work created by children with autism.

On November 1, 2007,the United Nations (UN) called for one day each year to be designated as World Autism Day. On December 18, 2007, the UN General Assembly designated April 2 as World Autism Awareness Day. It was first observed in2008.

Engaging in meaningful conversations can significantly boost happiness and alleviate mild depression, a rising concern among young people today. In a recent study by psychologist Jeffrey, it’s revealed that a simple daily practice of having quality chats with friends can enhance well-being. Jeffrey identifies seven key behaviors for meaningful connections during these conversations, which, when incorporated, can greatly improve our sense of happiness. These behaviors include:
Checking In: Recall any life changes your friend has mentioned and ask about their recent experiences.
Sharing Laughs: Appropriate humor can relax both parties and strengthen bonds, but be wary of mockery or demeaning jokes.
Showing Care: Ask more about how your friend is feeling and genuinely inquire about their emotions.
Listening: Rather than rushing to solve their problems, listen and occasionally summarize their points to show you‘re truly hearing them.
Valuing Thoughts: Acknowledge the validity of their feelings and try to understand their experiences from their perspective.
Giving Genuine Compliments: Notice changes, be specific and direct in your praise to make it heartfelt.
Engaging in Meaningful Dialogue: Don’t force deep topics; even casual conversations can become profound when you share your true feelings.

Why is emotional stability so crucial, especially in relationships?

I believe having a partner who is emotionally stable is more important than their physical attractiveness. An emotionally stable partner nurtures you, contributing to a more secure and understanding relationship. They‘re less likely to blame you over trivial matters, showing greater tolerance and support. In their company, you feel an endless sense of security and acceptance. Hence, striving to be emotionally stable is incredibly valuable!
