As our Seeing and Being Seen workshop approaches, I find myself reflecting on and noticing cultural norms regarding gender and sexuality in a particularly heightened way. I am, once again, examining my own assumptions and biases, which is an ongoing process I am deeply committed to. One book in particular that I am really enjoying and soaking in, is "Transgeder Children and Youth: Cultivating pride and joy with families in transition" by Elijah C. Nealy, PhD, Mdiv, LCSW. Nealy writes with a clear, informed, and genuine voice, offering tremendous wisdom and support on many levels. If you have read it, or do read it, I am curious to hear what you think and how it is moving you. If you find yourself with questions about our workshop, there is still space available and I would be happy to connect if you reach out and pm me.

As a Gestalt body-oriented psychotherapist, trainer and dancer, in private practice in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, I meet each client with curiosity, openness, and a non-judgemental stance. I utilize evidence-based, embodied-relational, and collaborative approaches in my work. Through dialogue, experimentation, and attention to embodiment and breath, we will explore patterns of being and what is emergent in the moment, while simultaneously acknowledging the significance of the past.
If you decide to begin therapy with me, we will identify the strengths and resources that have served you well. We will also collaborate to identify habitual patterns of interacting with yourself and with others that no longer feel useful or effective in helping you meet your needs. We will attend to your bodily experience as a way to expand healing possibilities.
Within the context of the therapeutic relationship you will have the opportunity to practice new ways of interacting interpersonally, address unfinished business, and expand your capacity to lead a choiceful and more authentic life.
I look forward to hearing from you to see if we are a good fit!
