āœØ Listen and Validate: Create a safe space for your partner to share their feelings. A simple ā€˜I hear youā€™ can mean everything.

āœØ Share the Load: This right here!! Take on tasks without being askedā€”whether itā€™s changing diapers, cooking, or tidying up. The is real for mothers, especially because of the idea that Black moms need to be superheroes and do it all.

āœØ Advocate in Healthcare Settings: Be an active voice for your partner, especially in systems that may not always prioritize Black mothersā€™ health. You can help reduce the negative health outcomes with your voice!

Have you eaten in the last few hours? Hunger can reduce our ability to make good decisions. Have a snack, if not a full meal.

What are you feeling? Anxious? Irritable? Sad? Check in with your emotions.

Feeling a little overwhelmed or stuck? Try taking a few minutes to check in with yourself in your wellness domains. If youā€™re feeling low in any particular area, try these things:

Occupational - take an inventory of your stress level at work and see if there are places where stress can be reduced
Environmental - clean up the space you work or live in
Intellectual - pick up an engaging book to read or listen to a favorite podcast
Spiritual - meditate or pray
Emotional - share your feelings with a trusted person or journal
Physical - find 5 minutes to move your body, whether thatā€™s yoga, dance or a quick walk
Financial - spend time reviewing your budget or creating one if youā€™re not currently keeping one
Social - spend time with people who fill your social cup
