Did you know CNA careers began with a small group of women volunteers helping overworked nurses during World War I?

Today, these trained professionals provide invaluable care to patients in all stages of life.

We are blessed to have quite a few STNA’s who have been at our facility for 10-20 years!

This week we celebrated our STNA’s with treats every day and today had a luncheon to recognize how appreciative we are of all the big and little things they do everyday to care for our residents.

A big thank you to our STNA staff and Happy STNA Week!

Day 5 of Nursing Home Week:
PROM 💃🏻💐🕺🪩

Our residents were SO excited to dress up for Prom 💖 The residents handed in their “tickets” to prom and were given peonies from our garden for the ladies and rose boutonnières for our gentlemen 🌺🌹Some residents chose to wear their own clothing, while others chose to wear dresses donated by our Department Heads. We had a full ice cream sundae bar, which everyone really enjoyed, and then the residents cast their ballots for Prom King and Prom Queen 👑

We all had a blast celebrating another wonderful nursing home week and are so grateful to our residents and their families for trusting us to care for them ❤️

Our Residents traveled around the world today with passports in hand! They had stamps at each country - Canada, China, Italy, Mexico and Poland - and had treats from each country!

The Residents really loved this activity and asked to do it again!

Olympic’s Day ❤️🤍💙

Our Residents “competed” in our version of the Summer Olympics - corn hole, beach ball toss, bingo and crossword puzzles. Each of these activities encourage physical or mental exercise in a safe and fun way! We enjoyed our Olympic torches (cotton candy), Red, White and Blue popsicles and festive cookies! Our Residents were very festive today and each received a medal!

Day 1 of Nursing Home Week: Wizard of Oz Day 🧙💚👠

Our residents followed the yellow brick road to the dining room where we watched the original Wizard of Oz movie, guessed how many tin men (Hershey Kisses) and enjoyed popcorn and Wicked Witch of the West punch! Some of our Department Heads even dressed for the occasion 💙
