🏌🏿 Honored to stand alongside Coahoma Community College at their Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament—a tradition that not only builds community but also opens doors for students whose futures depend on opportunity.

With 97% of CCC students requiring financial aid, this event is more than a round of golf—it’s an investment in lives, families, and the Delta’s future leaders.

At Cardiovascular Solutions of Central Mississippi (CVSCM), we are committed to serving our community beyond the clinic walls. This month, during PAD Awareness Month, we are reminded that just as scholarships change the trajectory of a student’s life, awareness and early detection of peripheral artery disease can change the trajectory of a patient’s life—preventing unnecessary suffering and even amputations.

đź’ˇ Together, through education, advocacy, and action, we can create pathways for hope, health, and healing.

Special thank you to Cardiovascular Solutions of Central Mississippi for your support of GRAMMY Museum Mississippi and our mission of music education! We appreciate the support from our community!

Cardiovascular Solutions of Central Mississippi (CVSCM)is a mission driven cardiology clinic in Cleveland and Clarksdale, Mississippi, founded in 2015 by Dr. Foluso Fakorede to fight health disparities and expand access to quality cardiovascular care in underserved communities.

CVSCM treats various types of cardiovascular diseases from hypertension, heart failure, valvular heart disease, and cardiac arrhythmias utilizing evidence-based practices. There is a hyperfocus on early detection and treatment of peripheral artery disease (PAD), using aggressive screening and interventions to reduce major limb amputations by 88% from 2015-2019.

We utilize a community-centered care model by providing patient education on insurance, financial literacy, with a full compliment of staff for support, and deliver outreach through schools, churches, and civic groups.

Dr. Foluso Fakorede also serves as CEO and a national advocate-testifying before Congress on PAD, earning American Heart Association’s Louis B. Russell Jr. Award in 2023 and serving on multiple advisory boards to promote health equity.

CVSCM’s two office locations serving the Mississippi delta; focused on addressing social determinants of health like (transportation, insurance literacy, and access to affordable quality care to reach at-risk populations in the Mississippi Delta.

Our Mission will always be to promote clinical excellence and proactive community engagement to eliminate systemic barriers to care.

👟 Fighting to Save Limbs & Lives in the Mississippi Delta

We’re proud to announce that Dr. Fakorede, Clifton Reed, Si Burnham, and Lashyra Marion—four dedicated members of our team—are featured in the latest issue of Endovascular Today for their powerful work raising awareness about Chronic Limb-Threatening Ischemia (CLTI).

CLTI is the most advanced stage of Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD), a condition that restricts blood flow to the legs and feet. Left untreated, it can lead to non-healing wounds, ulcers, gangrene—and ultimately, preventable amputations.

In this special feature, our team joins national leaders to highlight the critical need for education, early detection, and equitable access to care, especially in underserved regions like the Mississippi Delta.

We’re incredibly honored to have these passionate advocates leading the charge here at Cardiovascular Solutions of Central Mississippi—changing lives and redefining what’s possible, one limb at a time. 🩺❤️

Happy Birthday to the heart of our practice! 🎉

Dr. Fakorede, we could spend all day listing your incredible achievements… the publications, the documentary, the awareness you’ve raised for PAD, introducing the ARC Act, the countless staff and fellows you trained, and the countless sacrifices you’ve made over the past decade in Mississippi. But what truly sets you apart and the reason we all love and admire you is so much more than that.

It’s the way you genuinely care for each patient, each worried family member, and every life you touch. Your technical skill is unmatched, but what makes you extraordinary is your intentionality and compassion. You are relentless in your pursuit of the best possible outcomes for your patients, never settling for anything less.

You are a world changer, and you live that truth Every. Single. Day.

You are our superhero, and we honestly have no idea how you do it all. We just know that we are grateful for you.

Happy Birthday! We hope you felt the love and appreciation today because you are valued today and every day. 🎂 🎊 ❤️
