What a great day we had at Lee U yesterday. We were privileged to help out the school of nursing, athletic trainers and disaster management students with their Mock Mass Casualty. Watching these future nurses and healthcare professionals perform their duties made me feel very proud of the quality of education and preparedness of Lee U students! My students loved taking part and learning from this incredible group!

Well they are official! We wrapped up class and testing last week (with the exception of a few who still have to test). Here are your new CNA’s!!! I am beyond proud of all their hard work and studies!!!

We went to our first health screen of the semester today. I have a great group of future CNAs. We finished in record time! Way to go guys! Proud of you!

We finished our last early morning clinical at Bradley Healthcare yesterday. We learned so much from their wonderful staff. I am so proud of these students. They are going to be great CNAs! Now to focus on passing that state test! Prayers appreciated!!!

We’ve been busy this past month. Here’s a glimpse into August in my classes. We learned lots of new things including PPE (infection control), had a Vital Signs lab, a Leadership Retreat, and a Math Integration lesson. I am blessed with another year of great students at the best school! Go Bears!!!

This week in medical therapeutics we are learning all about the nervous system. We are learning about congenital and genetic disorders. We did a color blindness screening. We will also learn the cranial nerves. We did a taste lab today as well and talked about the we taste is perceived.
