We are getting closer to opening the Women’s Resource Center in Clarksdale. Our hearts are so full seeing the support already coming together for this community.

Thank you Vicki Montgomery, Nita Pharish, Belinda Simpson and Aleta Godsey for stepping up to serve and make a difference in the lives of women and families in the Clarksdale area. Your willingness to help is what makes this mission possible!

We can’t wait to open our doors and walk alongside the women of Clarksdale with hope, help and love.

We’ve had a few questions come up about the tax credit and how it affects the county. One concern was that if businesses donate half of their property tax dollars to us, the county would lose that revenue.

To clarify- the state reimburses the county for any amount of businesses claim through this credit so the county does not lose funding when the credit is used.

The Children’s Promise Act tax credit, passed by the legislature and signed by the governor in 2019, provides a dollar-for-dollar tax credit for donations to the Women’s Resource Center.
