Going out into our community and speaking with others about mental health is a huge passion of mine. When Delta State University reached out for me to come speak about grief, I immediately said yes. Grief is something we all experience in our own unique way. There are times, the waves of grief can feel like a storm you are struggling to get out of. You do not have to face the storm alone. You are important. You matter.

September is Su***de Awareness Month. This is a time to share information on su***de, spread awareness surrounding an urgent mental health related issue and provide support for anyone who may have lost a love one to su***de or someone who might be experiencing suicidal thoughts.

They say all good things must come to an end. While we have loved every minute of our time with Zamaria Jones, we are so happy for her with her new adventure in her chosen career! Z will always hold a special place in the Trio family!

Grief is an ever changing process. Some days grief disguises itself as anger, other days it might be depression. Grief is not a linear path with a clear ending. Grief is the love that we want to give but are unable to. Grief is a reflection of just how deep our love was for someone.
