Optimal Spine Chiropractic focuses on correcting the alignment and posture of the spine to help give you the best chance at living a healthy, pain-free, and vibrant life. Posture and Spinal Alignment is the number one cause of non-disease joint pain. In Optimal Spine Chiropractic, we focus on correction of pathological spine and posture alignment through in office AND at home care. We want you to be able to work on your healing 7 days per week, not just when you're in the office. Having a physical dysfunction that stops you from doing what you want is hard. Therefore, having access to things that help correct problems you might have is paramount for optimal health and healing. Dr. Koser has been developing an online platform that includes information such as myofascial release for tight muscles, additional spinal alignment exercises, nutritional advice for muscle gain or fat loss, lifespan improving information, and much more. If you have degenerative disc disease, herniated discs, excessive lordosis, facet syndrome, or just feel that your spine is compressed and squished like a loaded spring, vertebral decompression is what you need. Dr. Koser first sought out vertebral decompression after a horrifying weightlifting competition accident in his early 20s. This lead to sciatica that sent horrifying constant pain from his low back into his leg. Dr. Koser got adjusted, did physical therapy, did exercises, got an inversion table, and nothing ever got rid of the numbness, tingling, and leg pain completely. Once Dr. Koser got into spinal alignment and posture correction, his leg pain FINALLY went away, but the numbness and tingling still hung around and, when Dr. Koser did something ridiculous like fixing old crappy lawnmowers, these activities could bring back his leg pain. It wasn't until a decompression seminar that he finally had NO SYMPTOMS IN HIS LEGS. The nerve finally had some room to breathe. Now I'll speak in the first person. As gravity weighs us down, as we get older, and as I keep doing ridiculous manual labor activities (I enjoy fixing and improving things), the damage I've done to my back will flare up every once in a while. We are fearfully and wonderfully made for sure, but our ability to heal is not one of our strong suits. It will always leave a scar that tends to hang around till we die. This doesn't mean that we should give up on being healthy and being the best version of ourselves. There are days that I feel absolutely fantastic with no symptoms whatsoever. Those days tend to be more plentiful when I stick to my exercise routine, when I stick to healthy food choices, when I do my decompression on a regular basis, and get adjusted. I never want to injure myself so bad that I can't pick up my children again, I never want to hurt so bad that I can't play in the floor with them, I never want to say "I can't today, my back is real bad" because I know I'll only be a dad to youngins for so long before they're oldins (and probably not as interested in playing with me ;-P ). So the time I've invested in getting to where I am now was so worth it. So I hope that you, too, can get great results, do the things you want to do without as much fear and trepidation, but know that you reap what you sow. You have to put in the effort to get the reward. But when the reward is (for me) happier and better adjusted children, I don't mind spending a couple extra minutes at the gym, a couple extra minutes on my foam roller, a couple extra minutes on my remodeling kit, and a couple extra hours with those kiddos instead of being stuck in bed all day with a pinched nerve in my low back. Forgive my life story there, I genuinely enjoy what I do and enjoy helping the people that walk in my door. If you think Spinal Correction and Decompression can help you like it helped me, you can come in and check it out by giving us a call. And, as always:
