This studio would truly fall apart in about 3 seconds without Jacob. His creativity keeps us inspired, his organization keeps everything running smoothly (and efficiently!), and his smile? It brightens even the gloomiest of days.
Jacob, you somehow manage to balance efficiency with heart—and you make it look easy. Your energy, laughter, and steady presence keep Soul Yoga feeling like home for all of us.

FRIDAY NIGHT PARTY SERIES🎶
Join Vanessa for a special 75-minute candlelit yinyasa celebrating spooky season and 20 years of Twilight. Flow to music from the films, enjoy restorative postures, breath, and community—all with a nostalgic (and playful) twist. Teacher profits from this class will be donated to Move to Higher Ground, supporting the Quileute Tribe of La Push.

SUPPORT + CONNECTION

We’re excited to introduce Buddy Assists, a new part of our Yoga Teacher Training at The Soul Institute!

From time to time, you may notice pairs of trainees in class — one practicing while the other offers gentle, hands-on support just for their partner. For now they’re not assisting the whole room; they’re simply learning, growing, and honing their skills together.

Soul Yoga is a learning studio, and we’re so grateful for a community that welcomes curiosity, exploration, and new teachers finding their voice. Thanks for helping us create a space where everyone — from seasoned teachers to brand-new trainees — can thrive.

330 unread text messages. Yep. You read that right. THREE. HUNDRED. THIRTY.

As a business owner, I’ve carried this quiet (and sometimes loud) pressure to be available 24/7—for clients, students, team members, all the people I care about. And truthfully? That pressure came from me. Not anyone else.

But no more.

Soul is growing. My team is strong, reliable, and more than capable. And I’m realizing now more than ever how important it is to create space for my family, my friends, and myself. Rest is not a luxury—it’s a necessity.

So, if you’ve texted me and haven’t heard back… I’m so sorry! I’m shifting gears. I’ll no longer be responding to work or yoga-related messages via text.

Instead, please email DM or Slack me and I’ll get back to you within 2 business days.

I’m learning how to lead with love and boundaries. Thanks for your patience while I do both.
