We are excited to announce the search for a new Executive Director to lead our organization and drive our mission forward.
The Delta Arts Alliance serves as a bridge to connect diverse cultures through their contributions to the arts, to create a common vision, and to develop strategies for making the arts a more prominent part of daily life in the Mississippi Delta.
Delta Arts Alliance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit located at the Historic Ellis Theatre in downtown Cleveland, MS which includes the old Walt’s Service Station as our Arts Annex for Dance and Performing Arts. The Ellis Theatre includes DAA offices, gallery exhibitions, Permanent Crosstie Collection, Povall-Sanders Fine Arts Balcony and the Juliet Kossman Whistlestop Stage.
Directly across from the Ellis Theatre, at the Commerce Building, DAA operates roughly 9,000 square feet of creative space for community programs that include art education & workshops, filmmaking, music recording & podcasts, lecture space and the future home of DAA Artist-in-Residence studios as we develop Phase II of our campus expansion.
Qualifications:
☑️ Bachelor's degree in Arts Administration, Non-Profit Management, or a related field (preferred, but not required).
☑️ Minimum of 5 years of professional experience with a preference for experience in a leadership role and/or within the arts or non-profit sector.
☑️ Proven experience in fundraising, grant writing, and budget development and oversight.
☑️ Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
☑️ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
☑️ Entrepreneurial “figure it out” mindset.
☑️ Flexible in nature with a growing organization with many moving parts.
☑️ Passion for the arts and a commitment to community engagement.
