Today was all about connection, creativity, and kindness—our participants made the sweetest pom-pom heart Valentines and shared lots of smiles along the way. ❤️🤍💗

Because at The Bridge, we don’t just celebrate holidays… we celebrate community.

We kicked off this month by attending the Bolivar County Heart Health Fair and learned a skill that can truly change outcomes: CPR training ❤️‍🩹💪🏾

At The Bridge, we don’t just talk about safety—we train for it. CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) is an emergency lifesaving technique used when someone’s breathing or heartbeat stops. In those critical first minutes, what you do matters.

Here’s what we learned (and practiced!):
🫀 How to recognize an emergency quickly (unresponsiveness + abnormal/no breathing)
📞 The importance of calling 911 immediately and getting help on the way
👋🏾 How to start chest compressions with confidence and stay consistent until help arrives
🧠 Why staying calm and acting fast can make all the difference

This is the kind of learning that builds real readiness—at home, at work, at church, in the community… anywhere.

Because at The Bridge, we’re not only building independence—we’re building preparedness, leadership, and life skills that matter. 🙌🏾

📢 Reopening Announcement | The Bridge Center

The Bridge Center is scheduled to reopen Monday, February 2, 2026.

As we navigate the aftermath of this ice storm, our hearts are with every one of our families, staff members, and neighbors who are facing challenges right now. We’re praying for safety, warmth, resources, and peace—especially for those dealing with power outages, unsafe roads, and unexpected hardship.

This is the moment to be a community in the truest sense: check on one another, share what you can, and speak hope where you can. A call, a knock on the door, a warm meal, a ride, a simple “Are you okay?”—it all matters.

We will get through this together.
We are Mississippi Delta strong. 💙❤️💛

Bridge Vision in Motion | December at The Bridge

December wasn’t a slow-down month at The Bridge—it was a launchpad. 💙❤️💛

We gathered our participants, staff, and leadership around one bold question:
What’s possible when vision meets action?

Through our Bridge Vision in Motion experience, dreams were spoken out loud, goals were claimed with confidence, and futures were put on the board with intention. This wasn’t arts and crafts. This was strategy. This was ownership. This was belief turning into movement.

What we witnessed was powerful:
• Young adults naming goals bigger than fear
• Staff aligning personal purpose with collective impact
• A shared commitment to do the work—not just wish for the outcome

2026 isn’t coming quietly.
It’s being built on purpose.

Look out, 2026.
The Bridge is blazing trails, breaking ceilings, and blowing possibilities out of the water.
