Last weekend, our very own Elliot, presented on laws for gender-affirming care for trans youth and was attended by most of our clinicians!

Our clinicians pride themselves on being competent in working with gender diverse folks and care deeply about continuing to support clients despite the political adversity on the federal and state levels. We are so thankful for them. 🏳️‍⚧️❤️

Some of our clinicians took a trip to today to learn about how equine assisted psychotherapy can be useful to our work with clients. We practiced co-regulating, talked about leading and boundary setting, and discussed how horses can sense what is happening internally even if we don’t verbally express it. What a fun field trip! 🐎

As Black History Month comes to a close,
let’s take a moment to learn about the history of reproductive care for the Black AFAB community, barriers to accessing care, and resources for obtaining care. It is vital that we work towards dismantling racism and oppression all twelve months of the year. What is one takeaway that you have from this post?

We are sad and disappointed in the decisions made by Ohio’s legislators aimed at harming trans youth. CSIC stands with trans youth and their families. Over the next several weeks we commit to be actively engaged in understanding how we can best continue to support trans youth and their families through our services, advocacy, and community organizing. You are important. You are loved. You matter. 🏳️‍⚧️
