Our very own Leshia Yarbrough-Franklin was featured by the International OCD Foundation in honor of Black History Month and Women's History Month! She highlights her role as chair of Benjamin Rose's Hoarding Connection, and credits the group's impactful work to all the public, private, and nonprofit organizations committed to making a difference for county residents.
Leshia Yarbrough-Franklin, MSSA, LSW, is an Adult Behavioral Health Specialist at the Alcohol Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services (ADAMHS) Board of Cuyahoga County in Cleveland, Ohio. She has more than 37 years of experience as a social worker with the last 28 being with the Board. Leshia’s role focuses on substance use disorder treatment, supportive services and membership in multiple community task forces and coalitions.
She serves as chair of The Hoarding Connection, a cross-sector collaborative whose mission is to provide support, education and resources for people who hoard and those who respond to hoarding situations.
Leshia credits the impactful work of The Hoarding Connection to all the public, private, and nonprofit organizations in this group who are committed to making a difference in Cuyahoga County. The Hoarding Connection is financially supported by the ADAMHS Board in partnership with the Benjamin Rose Institute, a social service agency with a continuum of treatment and supportive services for seniors.
