More about the US HIV & AIDS Coalition
The US HIV & AIDS Faith Coalition is composed of people of faith, faith leaders, and people working in the HIV and AIDS response who join in coalition to develop strategies and take actions to strengthen the engagement, effectiveness, and capacity of houses

of worship and faith-based organizations. We are focused on the role of faith in attaining and fast-tracking the U.S. We organize webinars and other events, including a faith pre-conference to the US HIV & AIDS Conference. The faith pre-conference includes keynote addresses, panel discussions with persons living with and affected by HIV, breakout sessions on disparities and social determinants related to health, and disparities in sexuality education. Participants engage in the discussions, participate in the development of strategies, and network with colleagues working in and with faith communities. USCA FAITH COALITION LEADERS

ACTION ALERT!
There are reports that the Trump administration intends to make drastic cuts to HIV funding, including the elimination of the CDC HIV Prevention Division. This could happen within the next 24 hours.

This is urgent! Please call your Senators and Representatives and tell them to do everything they can to stop these cuts.
Find your elected officials by calling the US Capitol Switchboard:
202-224-3121 (Senate)
202-225-3121 (House).

If the Trump administration follows through, more people will contract HIV, more people will get sick, and more people will die. Prevention, together with treatment and care, is an essential component of ending the HIV epidemic.

We must take action now. There is no time to waste!

UNAIDS calls for faith leadership in support of HIV response.
“The church has a powerful voice that reaches into communities around the world,” said Ms Byanyima. “We need the voice of faith and the leadership of faith in the world that we are in today–this time to defend the global AIDS response and lifesaving programmes like PEPFAR. Human life is sacred–and today, it hangs in the balance.”

Today, the Executive Director of UNAIDS Winnie Byanyima met with leaders in the Catholic Church as part of a global effort to mobilize voices of faith to stand up in a moment of crisis for the AIDS response. Speaking to communities of faith at events in Vatican City Ms Byanyima said, “Two weeks ag...
