Step 3 in Overeaters Anonymous is a turning point: "Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understood Him." 🔄 This step is not about losing control—it is about recognizing that our self-will has led us to destructive patterns with food. By trusting a higher power, we allow ourselves to be guided toward recovery. The Spiritual Principle behind Step 3 is faith 🙏—the belief that we do not have to do this alone.

💬 “We can do our best to minimize overstimulating situations, but we cannot always avoid them. When our efforts fail, we can always turn to the program.” — Linda L.

Linda’s journey as a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) highlights how OA helps tackle compulsive eating from any cause, including high sensitivity. Whether it’s stress, emotions, or overstimulation, OA offers the tools and community to help you heal. 🌈
