Hermes Sports & Events is seeking a Sports Assistant Intern for the Summer of 2026.

Work with our team to prepare a full slate of summer programs for recreational adults in and around the City of Cleveland. Operate events as a staff member, and supervise participants through a variety of different competitions.

Job Description
- Intern will work primarily with Hermes Corporate Challenge and Hermes Sport & Social programming.
- Internship offers experience in event, race, and competition management.
- Assist in the planning and operation of a variety of sporting events.
- On-site management / supervision of events.
- Work with our sport specific software programs & website integration.
- Majority of events are outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift items 20 lbs. and more.

Dates
May 19 ā€“ August 8, 2026
*Exact dates can be flexible to work with your individual college schedule*

Hours
This is a full-time sports management internship, approximately 35 hours per week.
Intern schedule is weighted toward evenings & weekends at events, with a smaller portion of office hours for prep & recap.

Travel
Candidate must have reliable transportation. Travel to/from office in Tremont, and to/from events across the Greater Cleveland Area.

Compensation
Hermes will work with you to satisfy your Internship Credit. Internships are also available to gain valuable experience if no college credit is required. In addition, Hermes will pay a $500 per month Stipend.

This is a great opportunity for making contacts in the Cleveland-area and gaining experience in the sport management industry.

Our Story

The purpose of the Cleveland Corporate Challenge is to create a healthy and recreational event that builds company pride, morale and camaraderie among employees and companies. Businesses compete in 14 different events within a division of companies of similar size. Divisions may vary from year to year based on the number and size of companies entering the Corporate Challenge. Each company selects a Company Coordinator as the liaison between the company and the Corporate Challenge Office.
