Clean House, Inc.'s mission is to provide men with the spiritual and mental tools needed for continual
personal growth and to prevent relapse. We strive to promote consistent and contented sobriety by
addressing all three elements of addiction; the body, mind, and spirit. The stereotypes that come with
drug and alcohol abuse often overshadow the humanity of the people who suffer from it. The fact
is,
people struggling with drugs and alcohol are everyday people – moms and dads, sisters and brothers,
sons and daughters – who have lost control of their lives through a series of poor decisions and
unhealthy habits, often acquired in very small, almost imperceptible steps taken over a period of years. With the development of Clean House, Inc.; we plan to create a safe and sober living environment
where good behaviors can take root. Our facility will be a zero-tolerance sober living residence for
anyone looking to live a drug and alcohol free life. Our overarching goal will be to empower our clients
to leave Clean House sober with a strong sense of self-esteem and personal responsibility, and able to
support themselves emotionally, spiritually and financially. 12-step recovery is the foundation of our
program which also includes career development and stress /anger management by the practice of
meditation and martial arts. Our goal is to provide an education in living a drug and
alcohol free lifestyle. We give program participants a safe place to stay instead of
the negative environments that lead to addictive behavior. Clean House, Inc. is a transitional housing center for persons suffering from
addiction to help them get back on their feet. All program participants are required
to have completed the detoxification process and inpatient rehab compliance prior to joining our
program Residents are expected to submit to random drug and alcohol testing. Most
individuals will stay anywhere from 6 months to 18 months. Our facility is a sober
living environment for men looking to live a drug free life. Our facility will provide transportation to
twelve step programs in conjunction with twelve step meetings provided at Clean House. This will
allow them to talk to people that have been in their situation and get advice and working knowledge of
the twelve step process of recovery. will also ensure that
they go to the after care programs that they are required to attend. Clean House will utilize mindfulness
meditation and martial arts to assist in our residents emotional and physical well being. Both staff and
board members include trained martial artists as well as recovered addicts with knowledge of the
benefits of martial arts and meditation in recovery. Clean House has recently acquired a (5) bedroom/ store front property located at 11910 Buckeye Road,
Cleveland, Ohio 44120. It requires extensive renovation before it can be utilized as a transitional
housing unit for men in recovery. Clean House is currently looking for capital funds to continue work
for the house. Clean House participates in several fund raising activities throughout the year in order to
raise money needed to prepare the building for occupancy. Clean House is committed to opening the
store front portion of the building to begin providing services for recovering individuals in January of
2016. In order to reach this goal, Clean House is requesting funds to complete the necessary repairs and
bring the front portion up to meet city codes. Much of the work that has been completed to date has
been do to the efforts of a team of volunteers who not only have donated their time and physical efforts,
but in many cases, have purchased items from their personal funds as well. We are preparing the house
for painting, installed security gates, installed new windows, furnaces and hot water tank. The time has never been better to invest in this project. The city of Cleveland has committed itself to
many restorations projects throughout the city through its Connecting Cleveland 2020 Citywide Plan. The goals of Clean House are in direct alignment with those of Connecting Cleveland including; to
help revitalize neighborhoods by developing abandoned/run down properties to mixed-use buildings,
connecting people to places and opportunities, and to provide residents with a sense of 'place' and
belonging to build stronger communities. In addition, Clean House has networked with a local business organization (Buckeye Development)
and have gained their support in our efforts to make a positive impact in the community
