Triple A Wellness is a company devoted to helping people live their best lives by forming a healthy relationship with food and the body. Samantha Christy, MS, RDN, LD, EP-C is a Registered Dietitian that focuses on individualized and group programs that provide non-diet approaches to help people love themselves and their bodies. Food should be the fuel for our day, but we should also be able to ENJOY the foods that we eat. Counseling with Sam incorporates learning healthy eating habits, developing healthy relationships with exercise, and learning to eat more intuitively. Triple A Wellness believes in helping ALL people no matter their size, shape, color, ethnicity, sexual orientation, etc. Triple A Wellness believes in inclusivity and uses health at every size, and intuitive eating informed approaches.

I am so excited to share a new project and company that I have been working hard on with Lauren Elizabeth Dangelo. It's called Well Aligned! We are a new in-studio workshop for dancers, studio owners, faculty, and parents!

We will be focusing on all things dancer well-being including body image, mental health, nutrition, mindset, community, and overall well-being.

What is your relationship with exercise like?

Do you exercise only for weight loss?
To change your body in some capacity?

Do you hate exercise because it always feels like a punishment?

Does exercise feel like a chore more than an act of self care?

If you answered YES to any of these — it’s time to work through your relationship with movement.

Exercise and movement can be such amazing tools and health habits when we have a good relationship with it. When we do exercise becomes:

This week is week is week and I think its important to shed a light on what a healthy relationship with food and exercise look like. (Both of these are also very tied to how we feel about our bodies, fyi)

It’s important to note that eating disorders do not have a look, they are often misdiagnosed or not diagnosed at all, and most of us struggle with some form of disordered eating.

Many of the behaviors are very much normalized in our culture, mostly due to dieting.

If you are struggling, and some of this resonates with you — consider getting help. I promise your life gets SOO much better when you have a positive relationship with food and your body.
