Jill started practicing yoga in 2007 with the suggestion of her doctor who she was seeing for anxiety, panic attacks, and depression. "Twenty years ago I was sitting with friends drinking coffee, laughing, and discussing our hopes and dreams, when all of a sudden everything went black. I started to shake, my heart was racing, and I begged my friends to rush me to the hospital...I was dying! I spen

t three days in the hospital while they tried to figure out what was wrong with me. A stroke? No...I was only 19 years old, that couldn't happen to me! After a long weekend of being poked, prodded, and scanned every which way I could, the final diagnosis came in...General Anxiety Disorder/Panic Attacks. I didn't know what that was or why it was happening to me but from that point on, I had a panic attack almost every day for ten years with these crazy constantly changing symptoms. The panic then turned into Paranoia, OCD, Depression. I chose to not take medication because for the three weeks I was on Zoloft/Paxil/Etc., I was a zombie. My life was a big fog and I did not like that feeling. I saw a therapist twice a week who helped me "control" my attacks. And then one day he suggested that I take a Yoga class. I was hesitant, but I grabbed a friend and off I went to try something else that might ease my pain. I had no idea what I was doing, but I desperately opened myself up to this new experience whole-heartedly. I left class that day and cried for two days straight. On the third day I went back and talked to my teacher about how I felt after that first class, not understanding my emotions, and she simply said to me, "You released!" I then started practicing Yoga 2-3 times a week and within six months my symptoms went away...and they never came back! Yoga HEALED me! It saved my life!" - Jill Pawloski

She also was an athlete growing up; skating, gymnastics,, and cheerleading. In her Junior year of high school she tore her ACL, PCL, and MCL while cheerleading…basically her leg wasn’t attached! She had complete knee reconstruction surgery in 1994 with a lot of rehab and physical therapy through the years. Jill signed up for her first yoga class in 2007 and was instantly hooked. The peace that she felt within after that first practice was indescribable. It was healing. Since that day, she knew that this magnificent thing that she had discovered would be a part of her life forever. It was love at first savasana! Jill has been anxiety free for almost 10 years now years now and has found full flexibility in her knee with no signs of arthritis thanks to her yoga practice! Since yoga changed her life so much, She wanted to bring that experience into other people's lives as well. She wanted to do yoga everyday, with everyone, for the rest of her life. She enrolled in Joy & Service Yoga Teacher Training 200 Hours in January of 2011 and became a Certified Yoga Teacher through Prana Yoga and Dance Studio and a Registered Yoga Teacher through The Yoga Alliance in November 2011. She is also a Certified Herbalist, certified through Parma Hospital Learning Center. Jill teaches Vinyasa style yoga in many forms; Chair Yoga, Beginners, Restorative, Meditation, Yin, Vinyasa Flow, Power, Hot Power, Children's Yoga, and Prenatal. She works passionately with children, special needs, pregnant and postnatal women, anxiety and depression sufferers, bariatric surgery patients, MS sufferers, amputees, athletes, eating disorder recovery patients, seniors, beginners and intermediates. Jill also volunteers her time with non-profit organizations such as Fostering Hope's Hope in Balance Yoga Program for children in the foster care system, and is a Wish Granter for The Make-A-Wish Foundation, always living her yoga practice. She loves her practice, loves how it makes her feel, the way it makes her feel about others, and how it continues to change her life every time she steps onto her mat

Jill’s classes are strengthening and creative. You will be moving with purpose to the beat of passionately created playlists. She encourages her students to be themselves, to honor their bodies, to be vulnerable, to let go of ego, to let go of fear, to find their true selves, and most of all, to have FUN!
