Here’s what you need to know‼️
Acclimation is just a slow introduction to the sun and outdoor elements.
Start your plants in a pretty shady spot for a few days and over the next week move your plant slowly into the sun.
Make sure your plant is well hydrated and not root bound because that can cause it to dry faster outdoors.
Always wait until nighttime lows are consistently above 50°F
Important to know not all your plants want direct sunlight… in fact, most of them don’t!!
Ficus, succulents, snake plants and desert cacti can all take pretty direct light for a majority of the day.
Pothos, philodendron, peperomia, monstera, and many others want a much more shady spot.
Understanding your climate and understanding how your plant grows in its natural environment is the key - you’re trying to match those two things as best you can.
Remember, if your plant burns, it’s not dead… it just means it’s either too much sun or you moved it into the sun too quickly.
