The time I was able to spend in the presence of Tim Miller, and the community that practiced with him, was one of the most transformative periods of my life.

He taught me how to practice Yoga. And I’m not talking about asana. Yes, I was fortunate to have enough time with him to learn Primary, Second, and the first quarter of Third series. But the teachings I hold closest to my heart are of Love, humility, levity, compassion, and discernment.

Because of Tim’s teaching…

If you’re practicing in my shala and you feel safe, seen, and supported. It’s because you’re loved.

If you practice in my shala and you can celebrate others successes without comparison, judgement, or jealousy. That’s love and humility.

If you practice in my shala and I can help you laugh through a moment of struggle. That’s love, humility , and levity.

If you practice in my shala and you’ve learned to be kind, sensitive, and supportive to yourself and others. That’s love, humility, levity, and compassion.

If you practice in my shala, are have cultivated an awareness of these qualities in yourself and others. And you embody these qualities in daily life , especially when life gets hard, That’s love, humility, levity, compassion, and discernment.

These are some of the most cherished teachings I received from Tim, and the ones that will always be the foundation of how I teach those who wish to learn a little something about Yoga from me.

A lifetime of thanks doesn’t come close to the gratitude I have for this incredible human 🐒

Early bird pricing ends today (March 15) for our weekend with Cory Bryant , Marque Garaux , and Kory Sheffer !

Cory will be offering workshops covering the Buddhist teachings of The Four Boundless or The Four Immeasurables: Loving-kindness, Compassion, Joy, and Equanimity. Mornings will be Two Mysore practices and a Guided Primary Series led by all three teachers! We’ll end the weekend with a vegetarian meal together in the Alchemy Kitchen.

This will be our seond year hosting this incredible event. And this year, in our new warehouse temple, it’s going to be extra special.

Our Story

Napa Valley's first and only traditional Ashtanga Yoga shala.

We teach in the traditional “Mysore Method” of Ashtanga Yoga, which means each student receives INDIVIDUAL and PERSONAL attention from the teacher in a group setting. Every student is different in body and mind and Yoga is a very personal practice. In this method of Yoga students learn and move at their own pace - they are not required to keep up with a class or “perform” postures they are not yet ready for. Yoga postures (asana) and breathing techniques (pranayama) are introduced to each student in a progressive manner - only increasing in challenge as the student becomes ready. This progression could be over the course of 3 weeks, 3 months, or 3 years - it all depends on the student. By learning in this method, students build strength, flexibility and awareness in a healthy and sustainable fashion.

Mysore Ashtanga Yoga is for ALL students. Beginners, seasoned practitioners, and students who may be in recovery from injury, trauma, health issues and even substance abuse. The practice is transformational - and with consistent practice the benefits attained are limitless.
