Christmas Stirs the Pot....

Many times there is a juxtaposition of “Hallmark expectations” of a Christmas with family, that harshly crashes into the reality of past and present. Uncovering and remembering old family wounds is not what we had in mind as we planned out our December.

Many folks come out of Christmas with dashed expectations after being around family which once again pulled the scab off of old wounds that haven’t healed.

This is a great opportunity to enter therapy to FINALLY deal with these wounds.

"It happens every Christmas. The 25th rolls up and there you are on Christmas Day, disappointed. Quietly watching everyone hurriedly unwrap a gift and then moving on quickly to the next one, barely taking a breath. Guilt washes over you as you silently think,

“Oh, I forgot to get that done”.
“Oops, Christmas is now over and we never got around to taking care of that person”.
