My Carnivore Diet
Like many of you, I've faced challenges and celebrated some incredible wins along the way.
When I first ventured into the world of Carnivore Diet, I have to admit it felt a bit overwhelming. The idea of giving up all those regular grocery foods was daunting. But, I decided to give it a try because I was struggling with my gut, health and energy levels.
The Challenges
The transition wasn't without its challenges. I remember those early days when I missed the flavors of diverse foods. Dining out with friends became an exercise in creativity, as I tried to stick to my diet while still enjoying social gatherings. plus there wree my addictions I had, they really made it hard at first, stuff like PB&J sandwiches, chips, cereals, and licorice; stuff always in my house.
The Wins
But, here's the exciting part—I started experiencing some remarkable wins. Cravings and addictions lost their pull on me, My energy levels shot through the roof, it was like a light switch but that's because I was probably in a really bad place nutritionally. . That energy slump? Gone. And the best part? I noticed significant weight loss without counting calories or obsessing over portions and I NO LONGER THOUGHT ABOUT FOOD all the time, less hunger and cravings.
Learning Along the Way
Throughout my journey, I've learned a lot. I've learned to listen to my body, to pay attention to how different foods affect me. I've found creative ways to make delicious meals within the Carnivore framework, discovering the incredible flavors of different cuts of meat and experimenting with spices sparingly.
Why I Love the Carnivore Way of Eating
For me, the Carnivore Way of Eating is about simplicity, about getting back to basics. It's about embracing the nutrients found in animal foods and enjoying the satisfaction of a well-cooked steak or a plate of salmon. I don't have to restrict or worry anymore.
Not sure how long I'll do this for, but for now it is relieving me from the time to meal plan and obsess over food items on what kind of effect it may have on me, natural meat is pretty straightforward, steak, eggs, lamp, bacon....less mental work.
