Events like this reinforce ALI’s core mission of promoting ladder safety through education, awareness, and industry standards. By connecting members, sharing best practices, and advancing safety initiatives, ALI continues to make a meaningful impact in workplaces and communities nationwide. 🍂 Fall is Here! Stay Safe on Ladders 🍂

Cooler weather means more outdoor chores — hanging decorations, cleaning gutters, and pruning trees. Before you climb, remember these ladder safety tips:

✅ Inspect your ladder for damage before use
✅ Set it on a firm, level surface
✅ Keep three points of contact while climbing
✅ Don’t overreach — move the ladder instead
✅ Wear slip-resistant shoes

A few small precautions can prevent big injuries.

🚫 The top step is NOT a step — and the top cap is NOT a seat!

The top step and top cap of a stepladder are not designed for standing or sitting. Using either of them can throw you off balance and increase your risk of falling.

✅ Always follow the safety label on the ladder to determine the highest safe standing level.
