This free community event brings families together for an afternoon of fun, movement, and hands-on activities designed to keep kids active and engaged. We were honored to join Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) in celebrating 25 years of Multisystemic Therapy (MST) in Ohio and recognizing the incredible network partners who have supported this impactful work from the beginning.

A special congratulations to Jamesena Richardson, MST Program Manager and Supervisor for the MST and MST-PSB teams at Applewood, who received the “Whatever It Takes” Award in recognition of her 30 years of dedicated service to the community through the MST program.

Her commitment to supporting youth and families truly reflects the heart of MST’s mission!

Innovators of Black History Vol. 1 is part of a Black History Month film series and explores the remarkable inventions, stories, and legacies of Black pioneers like Benjamin Banneker, George Washington Carver, and Lewis Latimer. This inspiring documentary highlights how their vision, perseverance, and innovation helped shape the world we live in today.

Learn more about the impact of Black filmmakers on cinema and experience two nights of storytelling and inspiration at the Memorial Nottingham Branch of the Cleveland Public Library. Light refreshments will be served, making it a wonderful opportunity to reflect, celebrate, and honor these influential figures.

When a child or teen is facing a mental health crisis, families shouldn’t have to navigate it alone. Applewood is here to help.

Applewood Centers provides Mobile Response and Stabilization Services (MRSS) in both Lorain and Medina Counties. MRSS is a free, short-term, intensive program for children and young adults ages 2 to 20. If a family identifies a crisis, our team responds.

Licensed clinicians, trained mental health professionals, and peer support providers come to your home, school, or another safe location to provide safety assessments, de-escalation, skill building, and connection to ongoing resources. Up to six weeks of stabilization services are available to help keep children safely at home and families supported.

MRSS can assist with emotional or behavioral concerns, mental health or substance use challenges, trauma, school truancy, running away, caregiver-child conflict, and suicidal thoughts.
